Damon’s grin froze on his face as the final notification sank in. His pupils dilated slightly. The words blinked back at him like a quiet explosion in his brain.
[Primordial Mana Core]
(Passive Title Effect)
Weaker foes will instinctively sense mana suppression from your presence.
"...What the hell?" Damon muttered.
He read it again. And again. But the words didn’t change.
Primordial Mana Core?
This was completely insane. Legendary mana core was one thing, but how could he have possibly received a boost directly to a primordial mana core? What did this thing even look like? Just how powerful should something labelled as primordial be?
There was no way killing that measly wyrm gave him an update like this!
Sure, it was a draconic beast, but it was not even a true dragon or something even crazier, like a primordial beast. How could such an upgrade be possible?
His bloodline was also fragmented and unstable. It might have had some influence, but it couldn’t have possibly influenced the whole thing. Otherwise, he could have formed a primordial mana core on his first try!
No matter how much Damon thought about it, the whole thing simply did not make sense. A pseudo mana core was not a true mana core, but still, a pseudo mana core was the foundation of everything—mana, skills, everything. And now his core had been recognized as Primordial?
He instinctively reached inward, trying to feel it, but his senses still couldn’t detect any stable mana flow. His circuits were still a disaster, his body barely hanging together.
Did he have it and lose it, or was his body’s current condition due to the fact that it simply couldn’t handle such a core?
Damon went through the system notifications once again, and it only talked about soul injury and not about any mana core destruction. For now, this was all the confirmation he had.
Even though everything looked completely unbelievable, the system’s notifications couldn’t be an error. Maybe the last time around, his core was very close to reaching a primordial core level, and because of some shortage, it became a legendary core.
And now, since the wyrm’s blood was added to the mix, his body pushed the core back to the primordial level?
This was the best explanation Damon could think of.
Actually, there was also something else. The wyrm was definitely not a simple draconic beast. It was a mutated beast. Now that he thought about it, this was the first time he had seen a wyrm with wings.
