It only took a couple of seconds for the system to tally all the gold coins and spit out the number. Damon blinked, rubbing his eyes to make sure he wasn’t hallucinating.

It was an astronomical amount, and Erin had simply given it all to him without asking for anything in return. He turned to her and quickly pulled her in for a hug. She was truly the best sugar mommy in the whole world.

Erin, on the other hand, blinked in confusion. Her arms stiffened for a moment, clearly not expecting the sudden contact. She had never been embraced like this by anyone.

"My lord?" she whispered, her voice trembling as if she feared she had somehow offended him. "Did I... do something worthy of this honor?" Her beautiful blue green eyes searched his face when he pulled back slightly, trying to read his expression.

Damon smirked, his crimson eyes gleaming with amusement. "Worthy? Erin, you just made me the richest player in Earth Online." He held her by the shoulders, giving her the faintest shake. "You’ve given me the kind of power entire guilds would sell their souls for. If I didn’t hug you after that, I’d be the biggest bastard alive."

Her lips parted in stunned silence, then curved into a smile. "Then... I am glad, my lord. If my existence can bring you closer to your throne, then I am already fulfilled."

Damon chuckled and let her go. "Best sugar mommy in the world, hands down."

Erin blinked, tilting her head in confusion. "Sugar... mommy?" She did not understand the foreign phrase.

Damon nearly choked on his own laughter. "Forget it. Thanks. Really, thanks for the big help." He then turned his attention to the rest of his storage space. He now had 1 billion, but there was still 1.5 billion more to go. There was a lot more work to be done.

"My lord?" Kaelthorn stepped forward, interrupting his thoughts. He then handed over to Damon a storage pouch. "These are the treasures and gold coins I collected from all the treasure chests around that place."

"Oh, right on time." Damon quickly took the pouch and checked out the contents. "Oh! Not bad. Not bad at all." He gave Kaelthorn a big thumbs up. "I didn’t expect you to collect these many treasure chests in such a short time. You have done well."

Even though Erin would have collected all those gold coins and items from the treasure chests and handed it over to him, he still had to appreciate the effort the guy had put into it.

"Alright. So that’s 1 billion and then some change." Damon sighed. Even with the proceeds from the auction house, he was still more than half the amount short.

Damon leaned back in the throne, one hand resting lazily against the armrest while his other flicked through the glowing tally. Close to a billion already, yet still far from his insane goal.

"That auction will help," he muttered, half to himself. "Maybe another hundred million or so, but one and a half billion more... tch. Even I can’t squeeze that much out of thin air." His eyes narrowed, thoughts racing.
