The fog thickened into a swirling wall, and a dozen armored undead rose in unison, shields raised, blades gleaming with spectral fire.
Damon didn’t even flinch. His lips twitched as he looked past the impressive spectacle to the kid who was grinning like an evil villain. He let out a sigh. Yup, this was going to take him a long time... unless...
Damon, all of a sudden, grinned even more wickedly. It was time to show who was the real villain here. He decided to demonstrate his ’product’ first hand. A good salesman would never miss such a marketing situation.
Without any hesitation, he took out a vial with his spit and right in front of the kid’s eyes, he popped the cork and tossed the contents into the wind. Before the boy could react, he used [Wind Bullet], a simple skill now dangerous and deadly.
He created one wind bullet after another, each one containing a bit of his spit. It was only a tiny amount but it was more than enough to do the job. Several Wind Bullets scattered in all different directions and even as Necro God tried to evade, he eventually got struck by one.
The bullet slipped past the swirling fog and clipped Necro God’s sleeve, making him instantly stagger. His staff shook in his grip, and his face turned pale as a vein of sickly purple crawled across his arm before he could do anything.
He did not even have the time to try and attempt to suppress the poison before his health bottomed out and his body went limp. In his last moments, he stared with his mouth agape at Damon, his eyes filled with fury and anger.
The boy’s body crumpled against the cathedral stones, staff clattering from his limp fingers. His summoned knights froze mid-step, then collapsed into a rain of brittle bones, their spectral flames guttering out like dying candles. The whole fog barrier dissolved in seconds, leaving only the stink of rot.
Behind them, the necromancer players who had been watching remained frozen in place, their eyes wide, disbelief written across their pale faces. The Necro God, their so-called prodigy, had been erased in less than ten seconds. No glorious duel. No drawn-out exchange. Just a single attack and the notorious guy was down?
Damon strolled forward as if he hadn’t just erased one of the most feared prodigies of the dark faction in less than a breath. He walked over and picked up the staff which Necro God had dropped.
[Spectral Bone Staff]
A necrotic artifact forged from the spine of a lich and bound with lingering fragments of its will. Boosts necromantic affinity by 20%, increases the number of skeletal summons by 5, and amplifies death magic by 20%. Bound upon equipping. Can be upgraded.
Damon’s eyes widened. The description itself wasn’t that much and the staff did not even give any bonus stats, doing only the basic function of increasing the number of summons and a bit of affinity and total damage. At first glance, it was unimpressive but the small detail that it could be upgraded made all the difference.
