Immediately, a fiery aura enveloped Damon. It was not a fire that nourished. It was a fire that burned down everything in its path. It was a fire that was the definition of madness and chaos. He became even more shocked.
Even with just a small amount, the passive hellfire aura boost felt huge. He could tell that if he pushed it, his attacks would hit way harder. The strange thing was that the aura wasn’t only on him. He could feel the same aura, traces of it coming off the nearby magma river.
No wonder the six-headed snake had such a strong skill. Living beside that magma for decades, the beast had learned how to use the river’s hellfire. It had taught itself tricks most creatures never saw.
This was an extremely rare thing. Not everyone could freely use hellfire. It was just like the wyrm’s breath. It was a superior energy essence that normal fire essence could not compete with.
The weird thing was, he had already come across two beasts who could use it freely. First, it was the demonheart ferocious lion, and now the six-headed snake. Both creatures had only a small mastery of the hellfire, but it was more than enough to give them a huge advantage.
This left only one question. Could the demonheart ferocious lions be somewhere nearby? The shuffling of the landmass was, in theory, completely random. However, small patterns could possibly emerge every now and then.
What if he was being carried into something with every fold of the landmass?
Damon thought about it for a while and then returned to his soul training. What was the point in thinking over something he had no control over? He sent his shadow clone to search for anything else that could be hidden in this place and continued to try and reach for his soul.
He was definitely not as talented as Sylvara or the old man in this aspect. Even after many hours, he was only drawing a blank. He took a deep breath and kept at it, and just like that, another few hours went by.
Damon rubbed his eyes. A whole day had slipped by, and he had nothing to show for it. The curse still held. His shadow clone came back empty-handed, and his soul reach felt dull and distant. At this rate, it would truly become impossible for him to make any move before the blood hall raid started or even ended.
Damon was contemplating what to do next when, abruptly, the world around him started to blur. "It’s starting!" He shouted as he prepared himself mentally. The next second, he felt an intense heat wave assaulting him.
He immediately had a feeling what the next place was going to be, and there was only a fraction of a second before the shuffling completed and he was teleported. In the last moment, he shoved a teleportation scroll into the elven girl’s hand and activated it for her.
"Get out of here!"
There were simply no demonic monsters near him. He needed blood and bloodlines to adapt, and right now, he was running low.
Also, Vampires had a natural weakness for hellfire. This was the fire that specifically belonged to the superior demon races. So what the hell was something like that doing in the crimson mountains? He had never heard of this place before, even in his last lifetime.
There shouldn’t be any hellfire-rich places like this in the vampire territory. It simply did not make sense.
Damon sighed and squatted as he sent his senses around to see what he was potentially dealing with. He could detect some lifeforms some distance away. But they seemed to be on the other side of the mountain or something like that.
He was currently in the middle of what looked like a huge cavern, and everything around him was burning. There was hellfire all around him. Everywhere he looked, there were hellfire rivers, hellfire bursts, and hellfire rain.
His health was dropping fast. He used his blood reserves to refill his health, but his reserves would dwindle fast. If the landmass reshuffling did not take place fast enough, he might even completely run dry of his blood reserves.
