Chapter 497: Blood Tempest

Everyone on the battlefield right now was using the 300% buff to fight to their heart’s content and to take the opponent out. Naturally, it was never going to last the full 30 seconds. It was probably only going to last 10 more seconds before some sort of counterattack popped out, and nullified it.

Damon cursed his bad luck that he was being forced to miss such an insane buff. But the good news was that Blood Reign’s upgrade and anything that could possibly improve her abilities was a lot more valuable.

"Fuck it. I will do it. Let’s eat that bastard’s weapon and get you back in shape." Damon grinned, madness in his eyes, and dove back into the battlefield he had just fled. He did not have to search for long to get face to face with the red-robed guy.

He pretended to slip back into the battlefield and target a high-profile C rank priest when the red robed guy appeared once again in front of him with a devious grin in his eyes. "Do you think that it is so easy to shake me off?"

Damon sneered inwardly. "I hope not." He then sent a mental message to Blood Reign. "What exactly do you need from me? Do I have to touch the weapon or something?"

"No. Just the proximity is enough. I can do the rest of the work."

Damon nodded. He gritted his teeth, acting extremely annoyed and tried targeting the priest again and again, ignoring the red robed man. The spark and his shadow clone were once again at his side playing their parts in the show. In between he tried attacking the red robed figure a couple of times so that he wouldn’t get any doubts.

Soon, the insane buff ran out and Damon managed to kill a few priests and paladins in the distance. At the same time, he also managed to absorb a ridiculous amount of blood essence, upgrading a few of his divine and holy skills.

At the same time, he also managed to keep the red-robed figure engaged. He was multi-tasking this battlefield like a pro and the war overall seemed to be at a stalemate at the moment. Everything was going smoothly.
