Unfortunately, for the knight... yet again, blood chains popped out in the last crucial moment without missing the timing.
In the end, all the knight could do was let out an enraged shout. Now that he had wasted three of these expensive magic scrolls, he couldn’t bring himself to activate another one. Especially when Blood God was still somewhere near him.
He could only madly charge at the guy and attempt to destroy him, along with the troop of men who were still trying to get at him. But once again, that was leading nowhere. All the men had painful looks on their faces as they uselessly played the game of running and catching.
While these players were shocked and exhausted, there was someone even more shocked. Necro God had a strange look on his face as he watched Damon and his antics. While everyone else was fighting with their lives on the line, the guy alone seemed as if he was playing around.
He was single-handedly messing with a dozen players, interrupting them at the correct time and dealing with other disturbances that came his way. Blood chains were popping out everywhere in the battlefield.
How could someone do this? What sort of an ability was required to pull off something like this? This was ridiculous.
Necro God could finally see the truth. He had been nothing more than a frog in a well all this time. When it came to skill, he was completely out of his league compared to the man standing before him.
Damon wasn’t fighting. He was orchestrating. The single man was controlling the entire momentum of the battlefield. It wasn’t brute force. It wasn’t luck. It was terrifying mastery. And unlike everyone else scrambling and sweating for survival, Damon looked like he was just getting started.
Necro God’s throat felt dry. It was a surreal feeling, watching someone who was supposedly at your level, not just outperform you, but redefine what "your level" even meant. This wasn’t a talented player. This was something else entirely. A different class of monster.
While he was staring dumbly, a small blood arrow suddenly came his way, snapping him out of his trance. When Necro God looked at Damon, Damon gave him a ’what are you doing’ look.
Necro God awkwardly cleared his throat and once again started commanding his troops. A determined look appeared on his face. Blood God might be powerful but he wasn’t weak either. He wasn’t going to lag behind for long.
Taking advantage of the chaos in the battlefield, he quickly tried to coordinate with Damon and take down whomever he could.
Soon, the entire battlefield came under the control of the duo. Damon was doing the lion’s share of work, but Necro God held his own, and between the two of them, the numbers started reducing. "I think we got this." Necro God was finally able to breathe in relief. Damon nodded as well.
The two of them were about to take things up a notch and start killing off more and more NPCs when all of a sudden, a loud horn blew and everyone on the battlefield started cheering. Damon’s eyes widened slightly as he watched an entirely new army coming in from the side.
