SSS Awakening: Rebirth of the Strongest Vampire God novel Chapter 518

Chapter 518: You were warned

Aurora’s staff slammed down again, triggering a massive eruption of corrupted energy. Michael roared and raised his trident high, the sigil on his forehead blazing brighter than ever. A pillar of golden light descended from the heavens, shielding him as he prepared to launch a divine judgment.

Everyone on the battlefield gaped at the pillar in shock. A powerful aura spilled from the pillar. It was power beyond what even a powerful C-rank could command.

"Aurora! Move! Now!" Mark’s voice sounded. He jumped in front of her, wanting to shield her.

However, it was useless. His titan blood was powerful, but he hadn’t yet awakened his bloodline fully, and he was nowhere near a fallen angel’s power level. He was simply thrown away, unable to even withstand what Aurora was enduring head-on.

Mark crashed into the dirt with a thunderous boom, rolling across the battlefield like a broken meteor. Still, his eyes remained locked on Aurora, as he once again prepared to go and help her. Unfortunately, it was too late.

Mark was already in front of her. Aurora did not budge. She stood between him and the blood sphere with defiance in her eyes. "If you want him, then you have to go through me first. As long as I am here, nothing will ever come near him. He is mine!"

Her black wings flared wide as she raised her staff. An equally powerful aura seeped out of her as she blocked Michael’s path. Almost equally but not quite. A huge golden hand erupted from the divine pillar, and the hand directly clutched her, lifting her off the ground and strangling her.

The crackling energy from the golden hand was overwhelming. It wasn’t just divine, it was judgment incarnate, the will of a higher being poured into form.

The massive radiant fingers constricted around Aurora, squeezing the life from her with no hesitation, as if punishing a blasphemer who dared challenge the heavens.

Her corrupted wings thrashed violently, feathers scattering like burned paper, but her body was locked in place, suspended midair by the divine grip.

The staff fell from her hand, clattering onto the ground as her vision began to blur. Her corrupted sigil faltered. Her breathing grew faint. Her body convulsed, muscles torn apart from the pure, incompatible divinity suffocating her.

Michael strode forward beneath the golden pillar’s light like a messiah, triumphant and cold. "You were warned," he mouthed with contempt. "And now, you’ll learn what it means to defy the heavens for a filthy bloodsucker."

His hand squeezed tighter, and Aurora looked truly miserable at the moment when, suddenly, a barrage of blood spheres hit him squarely on his head. More pelted the huge hand, and many blood runes started appearing around the golden pillar.

Michael coldly snorted and turned around to see Ellora and Kate madly swinging their attacks at him. The barrage of blood spheres and disruptive runes shattered his concentration only momentarily, but it was enough to give Aurora breathing room, which she used to free herself.

Her staff, re-summoned mid-charge, spun in a desperate arc, crashing against Michael’s arm and knocking the trident slightly off course.

Blood burst from her mouth. Her wings shriveled, feathers incinerating from proximity alone. But she kept pressing forward, face inches from Michael’s, corrupted energy pouring out of her in all directions like a dam bursting.

From behind, Kate and Ellora desperately tried to attack the guy again and again, to break him free from Aurora. Aurora might not have noticed it, but the others sure did. Right now, even parts of her flesh and body were missing. She was badly wounded and had only a sliver of health remaining.

Erin’s roar loudly echoed across the battlefield. Her huge draconic serpent form thrashed against the dozen forced C ranks holding her back. Her slit like eyes seethed in anger, her entire body fuming with thick miasma that made the several C ranks go all out. They were only barely holding her down, but they were doing it.

Michael sneered, a vicious glint appearing in his golden eyes. The next second, the golden pillar of light shone again as three gigantic hands appeared this time. One shot towards Aurora, grasping her tightly. The other two shot towards Kate and Ellora.

"Divine Rule! Third Verdict! Soul shatter!"
