Chapter 581: Stat collector

Damon raised an eyebrow, his lips curling into a slow, amused smile. "Heh. Did I ask you to do something that you cannot control? Or is it my fault that you are too weak to deal with a stupid bug?"

The black-skinned man’s fury was palpable. His voice cracked like thunder as he jabbed a trembling finger toward Damon. "Do you even understand what you’ve done? Who are you calling a bug? That creature was the culmination of generations of our Order’s cultivation! The pinnacle of poison evolution! And you ruined it, you arrogant piece of shit!"

"Kanta, there is no point in talking to this fool right now. Move away." The woman barked, and the next second, a wave of air unceremoniously kicked Damon out, sending him flying several feet back.

Naturally, it only happened because Damon allowed it, but he did not care. He wanted to see how the five of them would subdue a monstrosity like this. Allowing them to fight first would give him a good chance to observe the skills and abilities of the bug because if he was not wrong, then the creature in front of him was no longer in the C rank realm.

Damon was sure of it because when he looked at the bug or at least from its aura, he could tell that there was something about the creature that was different from any of the NPCs or even boss monsters he had encountered so far.

He had many theories why this could be but for now he might as well plop down and enjoy the show. In the distance, the five of them seemed to be busy with some sort of array shenanigans. Probably something related to beast taming.

Damon wasn’t all that knowledgeable about beast taming. He did have the skill upgraded to level 5 but that wouldn’t instantaneously enable him to understand complicated arrays such as this. He continued watching them while at the same time he pulled down his status screen. He wanted to check out his recent gains.

After the blood hall battle, his stats had undeniably increased but this one was on an entirely different level. With all the insect swarms and the venomous beast rampage, along with his poison accumulation, his stats and skills had also exploded.

Power surged within him and Damon could feel it. This was the first time he was feeling something like this. In his last life, he had barely stepped into the C rank but his body was not in the least comparable to the one he had right now. He was brimming with explosive power from top to bottom.

He was almost restless and itching to go into a fight with the big bad bug in front of him. Now he was sure he was ready to face the elves. This was the power up he had been waiting for. If he walked in and claimed Lirae now, there wouldn’t be many who would be able to stop him.

That is if they did not have any soul attack techniques. Damon sighed. The damn thing left a bitter aftertaste in his mouth everytime he thought about it. It was a big glaring weakness and he needed to address it one way or the other.

He clenched his fists and checked out his stats first.
