Aurora immediately forgot everything the moment the kitten touched her palms. Her eyes sparkled, and she hugged the little creature so tightly that the kitten’s eyes squeezed out.

Damon raised a brow, sensing that something more was coming, and there it was. "As long as you spend the same amount of time with me." Aurora beamed.

That was not the smile of a loving girlfriend. That was the smile of a woman casually negotiating terms with the confidence of a war goddess who fully intended to win.

Damon smirked. "Oh yes. Deeply."

Aurora’s cheeks flushed pink, her fingers tightening around the kitten, who was now kicking its paws furiously. "You..." She muttered, eyes suddenly refusing to meet his. "You can’t just say things like that out of nowhere..."
