Storms of the Heart novel Chapter 27

After the initial shock and disbelief, deep in Julian's heart, a small, fragile spark of hope ignited—one so delicate he didn't even dare to wish for it.

He could hardly believe that Trina was carrying his child.

It was his child with Trina.

It was the newest bond between them, one that couldn't be severed.

With this child, perhaps she wouldn't be so determined to leave. Perhaps there was still a chance, however small, to win her back.

He looked at Trina cautiously, only to meet her icy, piercing eyes filled with disgust and finality. It shattered the tiny spark of hope he had just been clinging to.

"Get rid of it."

Trina's icy voice was flat and unyielding, carrying clearly across the living room. "I will never give birth to this baby."

Julian felt as if an invisible hand had gripped his heart, squeezing so sharply that each breath came in shallow, painful gasps.

He rushed over and dropped to his knees in front of her, reaching for her hand.

His voice trembled with an unprecedented mix of pleading and desperation. "Trin… please, don't! This is our baby. It's my fault—everything is my fault!

"You can hate me, punish me however you want, but the baby is innocent! I'm begging you… please keep him. Just keep him, okay?"

Trina yanked her hand back as if she had touched something utterly filthy, her eyes brimming with revulsion.

"Innocent? Julian, you dare talk to me about innocence?"

A low, bitter laugh slipped from her lips, thick with grief and hatred. "This baby is a mistake. He came from the night you forced yourself on me. He's a reminder of everything you did to me.

"When I look at him, all I'll see is your lies, your betrayal, and every ounce of humiliation and pain you ever put me through. Tell me—how am I supposed to keep the baby?"

"Trin…"

"Shut up!" Trina snapped, cutting him off as she rose to her feet, towering over him. Her tone was cold and resolute. "I will never keep this baby. Get that idea out of your head."

She was determined to go to the hospital for an abortion.

Julian used every means he could to stop her, keeping her under constant watch.

But Trina went on a hunger strike, resulting in her body weakening rapidly.
