Sarah let out a mischievous laugh. “Oh, Billy? He caught me and Larry together the day he flew back, totally lost it for a minute. But now he’s got his own drama. He’s too busy trying to win back his girlfriend to worry about me.”

That got Audrey’s attention. “Wait, he’s chasing his girlfriend? What happened?”

Sarah grinned and gave them the quick version. “Okay, here’s the deal. Back in college, Billy and Aurora really liked each other. They clicked, but after graduation, Aurora wanted to come back here to work and Billy had to stay abroad for the family business. They had no choice but to split up.”

“I think Billy promised her something, probably asked her to wait while he figured out how to bring the family business back home. Aurora never said much, but she really did wait for him. Everything was fine, until earlier this year when one of Billy’s clients started playing matchmaker and kept setting him up with new girls. When Aurora found out, she flipped and told him not to come back.”

“Billy freaked out and tried to explain, but she blocked him everywhere. Then all these problems hit the Brown Group, so he got stuck abroad, hoping to explain everything in person later. What he didn’t realize was that Aurora was just mad and trying to give him a hard time. She unblocked him after a few days and waited for him to reach out, but he never did. She waited for more than two weeks and didn’t get a single message. That’s when she got really angry. Her family had already been pushing her to get married, and when they saw nothing was happening between her and Billy, they decided to take matters into their own hands and started setting her up with every decent guy they knew.”

Larry, who clearly knew all the details, jumped in. “Mrs. Robinson does not mess around. She lined up a whole month of dates for Aurora. My future brother-in-law has been running around like a headless chicken trying to keep up.”

Sarah burst out laughing. “You have no idea. Billy’s usually so smooth, but now, he’s completely out of his depth. The first couple of days, he even showed up at her dates, sitting there with this death glare that scared off all the guys. They started complaining to the Robinsons about him. Mrs. Robinson got so mad that she started going to the dates herself to keep Billy away. That’s the only reason these dates are actually happening now. If I’m counting right, today’s already her sixth date.”

Camila did a quick count in her head and looked surprised. “So this all started right when Billy came back?”

Sarah laughed so hard she almost choked. “Exactly!”

Everyone cracked up at her reaction. “You’re really enjoying his misery, aren’t you?”
