The Alpha Train (Christina and Sebastian) novel Chapter 55

For understanding,” I say to him as I hand him the token.

“I have one of those for you as well,” he says, sliding one my way. I smile at him. Even being my toughest competi- tor, I think he and I will become good friends this semester.

Then I move to Ezra. “For encouraging me when I needed it this morning.”

He looks surprised, but nods in acceptance. I take a deep breath and turn toward Sebastian who is looking at me ex- pectantly. I swallow hard and pull out a coin.

“For giving me one hell of a challenge on the Beast today.”

“Thank you,” he says, still watching me expectantly.

I didn’t realize just how far I’d gotten until every instructor said I got farther than they did on their first try. “Damn. I don’t think you needed my encouragement, but I appreciate the coin for it.”

“It’s what any good Alpha would do, Alpha Ezra, encourage others, even if they are the competition.”

“Well, tomorrow, I’m going to see if I can get those five coins for myself. You’ve inspired me, Alpha. I like a good
