The Alpha Train (Christina and Sebastian) novel Chapter 65

“Thanks.”

He slaps a hand on my shoulder. “So, things are moving forward with you two in this class? I mean I’ve seen the trust you’re developing and the two of you work nearly seamlessly in the Strength class. But you think she’s ready for tonight?”

“I think she is. More importantly, she thinks she is. This week will be easier, and I have time to work with her to pre- pare for next week. By then, eyeryone will know each other better, so that should help too.”

“And you’re going to be her partner so she can take the class?” he asks me as we begin walking toward the dining hall.

“Yeah. I think we’re going to use Mondays and Wednesdays for her to practice on me and the other days will be me with her, preparing for class.”

“And eventually, the classroom won’t be where most of the work is being done, so you can give her more days to practice. Are you sure you’re ready for this setup?” he asks me, using my words.

“Do you really want to start that conversation? Because it’s going to go both ways.”

“Let’s table it then.”

“Good idea.”

By the time dinner is over, I feel like I’m going to burst. I’m practically desperate to get Christina’s O token.

James starts off like he does every night, going around and handing out coins. He and I are both generous with our as- sistant coins because we know our lives would be miserable without them here to help us. I’m surprised, but pleased, when Daniel gives Mia one for anticipating what he needs before he does. I’m not surprised that she earned it, I’m surprised that he thought to give her one.

Will also gives his tokens easily, giving Haley more tonight for her assistance, but also giving them out to the other assistants and young Alphas.

When it’s my turn, I give one to Ezra and Tyler for making it as far as I did on my first try at the Beast, I give a gold token to Christina for getting to the next challenge on the Beast and a silver one for being an incredible assistant, which she is. I give others out to the assistants and then it’s the young Alphas‘ turns.

Ezra hops up quickly, giving Christina one for encouragement and Tyler one for being an equal competitor. Tyler gives Christina one for making him think through his strategy on the Beast. Interesting. He also gives Ezra one and then gives several of the assistants for various reasons.

When Christina stands, something coils in my stomach. I want that coin. I want it more than I’ve wanted just about

Then she turns and looks at me. I hold her gaze as she walks over and I don’t take my eyes off of hers as she lays the coveted coin in front of me.

I hear the howls of the others around me, but I ignore them as hot possessiveness flows through me. It’s a feeling I haven’t had since my mate passed away, but the feeling is just as powerful as the one I used to have with her.
