Chapter 67
As he’s talking, Tyler, Ezra, and Noah walk in from the other side of the building. Seeing their partners, Ezra and Tyler make a beeline over to us.
“Is everything okay?” Ezra asks, watching Charlotte closely.
She smiles up at him. “Just nervous.”
“How could you not be? It’s not like this room isn’t intimidating. Even I feel nervous,” he says to her in a jovial way I would have never expected from Ezra. It has the effect I know he was hoping for and I see Charlotte’s shoulders re-
lax.
“Are there assigned tables, Alpha Sebastian?” he asks.
“First come, first served,” he says.
“Let’s pick our table,” Ezra says to her. He glances up at me as he walks away and I give him a nod of approval. Well done, Ezra.
“We should pick our table too. Hurry before they take the one we want,” Tyler whispers at Haley, making her giggle.
She points to the table closest to this end of the room and they rush over to it. “This one’s ours,” Tyler announces loudly.
“Then we’ll take this one,” Ezra says, moving to the table closest to them.
“Which table do you want?” Noah asks as Emma, Mia, and Sylvie walk out.
“I don’t mind being in the center,” she says. Why am I not surprised?
“When everyone is here, we’ll get started,” Sebastian says as James walks in. Sebastian holds out his hand to me and leads me up to the dais. “Do you want to sit until it’s time to get started?”
I nod and hop up on the table, looking out over the class.
“Breathe, Christina,” Sebastain says softly. I look at him and find him watching me. “You did well with them but take your own advice. Your only goal is to relax.”
“It’s technically your advice, but okay,” I say, smiling at him as Logan and Liam finally enter. Mia and Sylvie have already chosen their tables. Mia is sitting between Emma and Sylvie, putting Sylvie on the end closest to the main door out of the classroom.
