The Billionaire Ex-Wife and the Beggar He Became novel Chapter 222

Frank fell silent.

Her voice was soft—not loud, but calm, unwavering, and firm.

For a fleeting moment, he had the strange sense that the girl before him was icy and distant, yet beneath that coldness, there was a subtle sadness.

Judging by her appearance alone, she hardly looked like the type who would shamelessly seduce men wherever she went.

Frank released his grip on Winona.

With everyone watching, their eyes filled with judgment and accusation, Winona hurried out of The Nicholson Group headquarters, her face pale.

Gideon witnessed the scene and felt a pang of sorrow, but he knew he had no right to intervene.

Once Winona had left, Frank turned to Julian, his expression stern and severe. "Nicholson, everyone here can see how much Shepherd has sacrificed for you. How could you treat her like this? Explain yourself!"

Julian could see Frank's anger and pain.

In the past, Julian had tolerated Frank's outbursts since he was an important Italian business partner. But lately, Frank had crossed the line, interfering with Julian's private life—something Julian found increasingly intolerable.

"Mr. Frank, tell me—which eye of yours saw me betray Felicity?" Julian shot back.

Frank was momentarily stunned, caught off guard by the question.

Finally, he retorted, "You brought that woman into your company, and even let her into your office. What else am I supposed to think?"

"And what is an office for?" Julian asked, voice cool.

Frank replied without hesitation, "Obviously, it's a place to work!"

"Who made the rule," Julian pressed, "that only Felicity is allowed in my office at The Nicholson Group? No other woman can step inside?"

"Then please wait in the lounge, Mr. Frank. Whatever's between Felicity and me, I'll speak to her myself," Julian replied, his face still like stone.

With that, he pulled out his phone and dialed Felicity. "Come to my office. Now."

Frank stood there, speechless.

Julian had made it clear that Frank's feelings didn't matter to him, not when it came to Winona. Frank's anger simmered as he stormed off to the lounge. Once inside, he yanked out his phone and made a call. "Take care of that matter. Make sure it's done within the next two days."

Meanwhile, in the car parked in the underground garage, Felicity sat in silence. Hearing Julian's summons, she composed herself, touched up her makeup, and made her way to his office as if nothing had happened. She knocked lightly at the door.

"Julian, you wanted to see me?" Felicity asked, flashing a pleasant smile.

Julian fixed his cold gaze on her. "What exactly are you trying to do?"
