She and Yves Prescott had just arrived and realized they didn't know the way to the intensive care unit. Yves had told her and Zane to wait while he went to ask for directions. She hadn't been standing there for even a minute when a beaming, oblivious Felicity had crashed right into her.
If Felicity saw Winona as a sinister corpse worm, Winona didn't even see Felicity. In her eyes, Felicity was less than a stranger.
To Winona, Felicity was merely a debtor.
Once Felicity paid back the billion dollars she owed, they would never have to cross paths again.
After the debt was settled, whether Felicity married Julian, whether she remained as arrogant and confident as ever, had nothing to do with Winona.
Felicity had no part in her life's journey, and she would have no part in Felicity's.
They were two parallel lines.
So, to Winona, Felicity was nothing. Just a foul-smelling wisp of air.
Taking Zane's hand, Winona turned to find Yves Prescott. Felicity, despite her burning hatred for Winona and the many questions she wanted to ask—most pressingly, *I was spending my boyfriend's money, on what grounds are you demanding a billion dollars from me? If anyone owes a debt, it's you, for the sixteen years of care my parents gave you!*—had no time for a confrontation.
She had to see Mr. Frank, who had just woken up from a critical condition. Casting one last hateful glare at Winona, she hurried toward the ICU.
Outside the intensive care unit, she saw several doctors surrounding Frank, frantically working to stabilize him.
Frank's hand was outstretched, and his mouth was moving, trying to say something.
Through the glass, Felicity couldn't hear what he was saying.
Her entire family, including Teague, Henrietta, and her older brother Jason, who had just flown back from abroad to deal with the situation, put on sterile gowns and entered the unit.
