The Billionaire Ex-Wife and the Beggar He Became novel Chapter 412

"There's your problem. The damage a divorce does to a child is far greater than you can imagine," the sixty-year-old doctor said, looking sternly at Julian. "Why did you get a divorce?"

Julian ignored the question. "My daughter has always adored her new mother. Their relationship is much better than the one she has with her biological mother, which is quite strained."

The doctor was at a loss.

She considered prescribing antidepressants for Tiana to try at home.

Julian was taken aback. Antidepressants for a five-year-old? That was absurd.

"Honestly, she just threw one tantrum and had one accident. She's five and still in preschool. Isn't it normal for a child her age to have an accident occasionally?" he asked, seeking reassurance.

The doctor followed his lead. "Well, children today receive so much affection. If you indulge them ten times and say no just once, they throw a fit. I see children like this every day."

Julian breathed a sigh of relief. He had gotten the answer he wanted. The child was just acting out. Tiana had always been treated like a princess. First, he and Winona had showered her with love, and then Felicity had treated her as her own. As a result, she had become imperious and demanding.

As they were leaving, the doctor offered one last piece of advice. "Have you considered a change of environment? Perhaps let her stay with her mother for a while. A less indulgent setting might help instill some discipline and curb her temper."

Julian became thoughtful. If it was for Tiana's own good, he and Felicity might have to consider sending her to Winona for a while. Let Winona's coldness teach her a lesson.

But how would he even begin to discuss this with Winona? It was a difficult problem.

"Thank you, Doctor."

As Julian led Tiana out, he lectured her, "You can't be so spoiled and willful anymore. You have to listen to Mommy Felicity and your grandparents, understand? If you keep acting like this, Daddy won't be so nice to you either!"

He sat alone on the living room sofa, mulling over the psychologist's words: "Perhaps a change of environment, a place to instill some discipline, could help her rein it in."

Half an hour later, he took out his phone and called Winona. "Winona, I need to see you. When are you free?"

"I'm not," she replied without hesitation. "And I don't want to see you."

Though it was only the third day of the New Year, she was already at her studio organizing files. In three days, she was flying to Italy. She genuinely had no time for Julian. And she genuinely didn't want to see him.

"I'm on my way to you now." Julian hung up before she could refuse.

Winona stared at her phone, speechless.
