The Billionaire Ex-Wife and the Beggar He Became novel Chapter 430

"Of course, darling," Felicity said, her voice soft and loving as she looked at Julian. "You love me so much, and you love the babies in my belly. And I love you so much, and I love Tiana, the daughter you had with your ex-wife. So of course you'll love the two children I had with my ex-partner, right? Besides, your mother loves children so much, and she wanted a blessing on top of a blessing. These two children are here to bring good fortune to the Nicholson family."

Julian felt a dizzying sense of dislocation. *Where am I? Am I dreaming? Is this even my wedding?*

From the audience, a snort of laughter erupted. It was Yves Prescott.

Winona stared at him. "You knew she had two children, didn't you?"

"I found out about a month before you did," Yves admitted.

Winona sighed in disbelief. "How can people be so terrifyingly deceptive? She has two children, both eight years old, and she kept it a complete secret. She…" Even the usually composed Winona was at a loss for words. In terms of sheer cunning, she had to admit, Felicity was in another league entirely.

As she and Yves whispered, others in the audience were doing the same.

"Holy cow! This is too much to handle. This is the daughter-in-law Mrs. Nicholson has been parading around town like a flawless diamond. Not only is she pregnant with one set of twins, but she's bringing another set with her?"

"Is this a buy-two-get-two-free deal?"

"I'm worried Mrs. Nicholson is going to have a stroke right here. Or at least cough up blood."

"This is the ultimate self-own. She slapped her own face and now she has to tell everyone how good it felt."

Seeing Julian frozen like a statue and Felicity smiling serenely, Yves took Winona's hand and led her toward the stage. "Congratulations, Mr. Nicholson, on acquiring a son and daughter at your wedding! And congratulations to you, Mrs. Nicholson, on your new grandson and granddaughter. I see now that this truly is the greatest surprise for you. A priceless treasure, indeed," Yves said, his voice dripping with sarcasm as he looked at Julian and Janetta.

Janetta was about to explode when a phone on the stage rang at the most inopportune moment. It was Frank's phone, startling him out of his shocked trance.

Frank, looking frail in his wheelchair, answered the call as all eyes in the hall turned to him. "Hello, Ken?" he asked, his voice laced with worry. "It's not even four in the morning in Italy. Why are you calling me at this hour? Is something wrong?"

Ken's voice came through the line, urgent and flustered. "Mr. Frank, I couldn't remember what I had forgotten, but I woke up in the middle of the night and it hit me. Miss Shepherd… she doesn't actually go by the name Shepherd. She told me she had never even met you…"
