The Billionaire Ex-Wife and the Beggar He Became novel Chapter 438

Between the stress of the wedding and skipping meals all day, he'd been fuming. When he started pouring liquor down his throat on top of it all, a bleeding stomach was practically inevitable.

Julian was rushed to the hospital for tests and put on an IV drip. The doctor insisted he stay for a week.

Meanwhile, in his luxurious villa, two new members were settling in: Kevin and Catherine. The moment they stepped inside, they realized the house was like a palace. They shrieked with delight, running through the halls until they were exhausted. With Felicity at the hospital with Frank and Julian nowhere in sight, Henrietta was in charge. She assigned the children their rooms.

Kevin chose a room closest to his grandparents. Catherine, however, was immediately drawn to Tiana's room, with its whimsical decor, countless toys, and a closet full of beautiful dresses. She threw herself onto a pile of clothes and toys, refusing to get up. But soon, she discovered a problem: the clothes were all too small for her.

How annoying! Suddenly, she hated the childish toys, too.

“Grandma!” Catherine whined. “I don't like these toys. Throw them out!”

Henrietta, who had always despised Tiana, didn't hesitate. “Throw them all out,” she said coolly. “Your mother will buy you new things.”

Within an hour, Tiana's fairytale bedroom was utterly destroyed, its contents scattered across the floor like wreckage.

The next day, when Felicity was discharged from the hospital, Catherine ran to her, her voice syrupy sweet. “Mommy, the room you prepared for me is so pretty! But the toys were boring and the clothes were too small, so I had Grandma throw everything away. Can you buy me new ones, please?”

Felicity paused, realizing her daughter was talking about Tiana's room. A possessive, doting look filled her eyes. “Of course, sweetie. Mommy will buy you all new things. That room is yours now. From now on, this house is only for the children *I* give birth to!”

“Really?” The entire family stared at her, their eyes wide with greed.

Felicity's smile was so wide it crinkled the corners of her eyes. “In four or five days, Mr. Frank and I will sign the official asset transfer agreement. And then, his billions will all be mine!”

Four days later, Irene's butler arrived in the country with Irene and Frank's lawyers. They went straight to the hospital to visit Frank. Once they confirmed his condition was stable, they scheduled an appointment at the notary's office for the following day to verify identities and sign the inheritance contract.

Frank picked up his phone and called Felicity. “Shepherd, I need you and your family to come to the notary's office tomorrow. I'll be there with my lawyers and the butler. We'll verify everything and get this settled. And don't forget to bring the contract.”
