The Billionaire Ex-Wife and the Beggar He Became novel Chapter 444

Finished, Felicity turned to her parents. "Dad, Mom, take me to the hospital right now. I'm getting rid of these twins, and then I'm divorcing Julian!"

"No…" Janetta's tone softened instantly.

"Felicity, my dear, let's talk this through. Julian was wrong to kick the child, I'll make him apologize! We're all family now. The three children just aren't used to each other yet. Once Tiana gets to know Kevin and Catherine, they'll be the best of siblings."

"I don't want her in my house! Make her leave! She's dirty and stinky and has lice in her hair!" Catherine pointed a finger at Tiana, stubbornly insisting on the lice.

"This is my house! It's my daddy and my real mommy's house! My last name is Nicholson, and yours isn't! You get out! Grandma, make this brother and sister leave!" Tiana, compared to Kevin and Catherine, was a model of good manners.

"Oh… my stomach… it hurts a little. Julian, help me… I have a cramp, ow…" Felicity, who just moments before was demanding an abortion and a divorce, was suddenly playing the frail victim.

Before Julian could move, Janetta let go of Tiana and rushed to Felicity's side.

"My dear daughter-in-law," she cried, "you must not lose this baby! Whatever it takes, you have to protect this pregnancy. From now on, you're the one in charge of this house…"

A subtle, triumphant smile flickered across Felicity's face.

The storm in this newly blended family ended with the Nicholson family's surrender.

The two eight-year-olds forbade Tiana from living in the house, forbade her from calling Julian 'Daddy,' and demanded that she leave. They repeatedly called her a dirty, stinky little thing covered in lice.

Janetta coaxed Tiana, "Tiana, sweetheart, why don't you come live with Grandma and Grandpa for a little while? After your new mommy gives birth, and you have a little brother and sister, you can come back, okay?"

Tiana didn't speak. After a few seconds, she nodded.

Janetta let out a sigh of relief.

With that, she continued up the stairs.

A moment later, she came back down, her hands empty.

The moment she had entered her room—the room she had lived in for five years, a space filled with her mother's scent and all her memories—she had found it completely alien. Her things, her toys, her clothes, her drawings—they were all gone.

The room was a stranger's.

Tiana walked numbly down the stairs, crossed the living room without a word, and headed for the door.

"Tiana, where are you going?" Janetta cried, her voice breaking.

"This isn't my home. I don't have a home or a daddy. I'm just a dirty, stinky, lice-infested beggar…" Tiana said without looking back, walking steadily out of the house.
