The party went on for hours and so far there wasn't any trouble, everything was going on as planned. Thane never left Alessa's side nor took his eyes off her.
Alessa and Damien were seated at the table while Aria and Aiden kept going around and having fun. They were kids their age at the party too.
Soon, it came to an end and the guests started to leave. Alessa was relieved, the ball went well and a lot of people were talking about it. Nothing went wrong.
Immediately she stood up to leave, Thane stood next to her which stopped Damien from holding her.
Damien paused and looked at Thane then at Alessa. He didn't say anything, all he did was stare at Alessa with no expression and her heart skipped a beat. She felt shivers run down her spine due to his cold stare.
“It's okay, I’m okay. Just get Aria and Aiden back into the house,” she told Thane and he looked at her.
“Are you sure?” he asked.
“Hmm.” Alessa nodded with a little smile. He stepped out of the way and immediately, Damien grabbed Alessa and pulled her out of the ballroom.
Thane sighed and looked around for Aiden and Aria. He finally found them close to the Harts table, talking to Tracy.
He walked to them and when he got to them, they paid attention to me.
“Come on, guys. We have to go.” Thane said without looking up at Tracy.
“Thane,” Tracy called but he ignored her which made her wonder what she had done wrong. They were cool yesterday.
“Oh, wait. We want Tracy to meet Damien.” Aiden said and looked at Tracy.
“That's not possible, let’s go,” Thane said and the twins refused.
Tracy was about to move closer to Thane when Tyler showed up and held her waist. It finally caught Thane’s attention and he looked up at them.
“Hey babe,” Tyler called and kissed Tracy's cheek. Thane watched, waiting for Tracy to pull away or struggle with him but she didn't.
Instead, her cheeks heated up and she looked a little bit uncomfortable.
