During the holidays, airports were packed with tourists, making tickets hard to come by. Fortunately, the Gonzales family had their own plane, and Stuart had filed the flight plan well in advance, so Caitlin was able to bring Monday along.

Just as Caitlin was leading Monday towards the VIP channel, a voice called out from behind her.

"Miss Gonzales?"

Caitlin turned slightly at the sound of her name.

When she saw who it was, she was surprised for a moment, then offered a polite greeting. "Instructor Adler, Happy New Year!"

Although Adler wasn't in uniform today, wearing only civilian clothes, his posture was still ramrod straight, and he exuded the distinct aura of integrity unique to a soldier, causing passersby to turn their heads for a second look.

"Happy New Year," Adler smiled. "I thought it looked like you from behind. I can't believe it really is you! Where are you headed?"

"To Neon Spire," Caitlin replied. "What about you, Instructor Adler?"

"I'm on a mission." Adler's gaze then fell on Monday. "Is this your dog?"

Caitlin nodded gently. "Yes."

"He's a handsome fellow!" Adler reached out to pat Monday's head. He had been about to remind Caitlin to be careful about such a large dog pulling on the leash, but then he noticed that not only was Monday on an anti-pull P-chain, but he was also wearing a muzzle. Recalling Caitlin's physical prowess, Adler silently swallowed the words he was about to say.

Caitlin wasn't your average young woman. She could pin him to the ground in a fight; surely she could handle a dog?

With that in mind, Adler continued, "How old is he?"

"I found him on a Monday last year, so he's about a year old now."

Hearing this, Adler chuckled. "Does that mean his name is Monday?"

"Also? You have a dog named Monday too?"
