THE DIVORCE GAMBIT From Dumped Wife to CEO's Forever novel Chapter 1062

"Silverhaven," Gordon replied, his face starting to feel stiff from smiling. He used the moment of speaking to relax his facial muscles. "That's where I first met Catie, actually."

"Oh, I see," Kelley nodded.

"I heard you used to live in Silverhaven. If you and our Freya get married, do you plan on moving back?"

Gordon's lips curved slightly. "Since I've decided to join the Gonzales family, I'll be wherever Catie is. I'll follow her lead."

The answer earned him an appreciative look from Kelley. This young man certainly knew how to talk.

Still, Kelley's tone shifted. "You young people are all so good at saying the right things to make us old folks happy. Who knows if you'll change your tune after the wedding?"

"Aunt Stephanie, actions speak louder than words. Besides, with all of you here to love and protect Catie, if I ever did go back on my word, I imagine a punch from each of you would be more than I could handle."

Kelley nodded, a smile playing on her lips. "I hope you remember what you said today."

Next came the third uncle and aunt, the fourth, the fifth, the sixth, the seventh, and finally, the youngest uncle and aunt.

The uncles all maintained stern expressions, while the aunts were much kinder, asking Gordon a barrage of questions.

The Richards brothers all shared a striking resemblance; aside from age and attire, they were nearly identical. Gordon did his best to commit each of their faces to memory.

After meeting all the aunts and uncles, Caitlin led Gordon to Stuart and Carey.

Although Gordon had met Caitlin's parents before, this was the first formal introduction.

"These are my parents."

"It's a pleasure to see you again, sir, ma'am," Gordon said with a smile. "I'm Gordon."

Then came the thirteen Richards cousins.
