At Mr. Somerset's suggestion, Beatrice had selected three dates.
One was December 28th.
Another was January 4th.
And the last was January 6th.
A wedding required ample time for preparation, especially for prominent families.
So, Beatrice had chosen dates near the end of the year.
Hearing Stuart's decision, Beatrice smiled and nodded. "Excellent, excellent. January sixth it is."
With the date settled, a great weight was lifted from Beatrice's heart. She quickly picked up the gift list from the side and presented it to Stuart and Carey with both hands. "My dear in-laws, these are the betrothal gifts we have prepared for Catie. Please look them over. If there is anything you feel is inadequate, we can add to it at any time."
Carey accepted the list with both hands and gently unfolded it. Black calligraphy on red paper came into view.
The handwriting was a beautiful, standard script.
[50 kilograms of gold bars, ten seaside villas, two Rolls-Royce Phantoms, an entire street of prime commercial shops, two sets of imperial green jade jewelry, two sets of diamond jewelry, two sets of pink diamond jewelry, two five-star hotels in the center of Port Metropolis, two five-star hotels in the center of the Capital, 200 million in cash...]
The eight Richards sisters-in-law leaned in for a look.
As they read the contents of the gift list, expressions of disbelief appeared on their faces.
Gold bars, hotels, commercial properties, cash...
Any single item on Gordon's betrothal list was something an ordinary person could only dream of.
More importantly, under normal circumstances, a man marrying into his wife's family was not expected to provide betrothal gifts. In fact, it was often the bride's family who provided them.
Although Stuart had just declared that Gordon did not need to marry into the family, the Sylvesters had prepared this list when they thought he would.
In other words, even when he believed he was joining their family, he had still prepared such a generous offering. This spoke volumes about the sincerity of the Sylvester family and Gordon himself.
Caitlin had chosen the right man.
After reviewing the list, Carey looked at Beatrice. "My dear in-law, this is the dowry list we have prepared for Freya." With that, Carey picked up a red booklet and handed it to Beatrice.
Warren also produced a red booklet. "My dear in-law, this is the wedding gift list from us, the Richards family, for Freya."
Beatrice accepted both lists.

So happy for Carey, the reunion with her family is touching. Can we read more of Caitlin and Gordon? Readers are forgetting that Caitlin has a boyfriend by the way. Is it normal for their relationship to be erased in the storyline?...
Update please......
