"At two o'clock, you'll need to inspect several key projects in Glaceria."
"At five, you're attending a business roundtable."
"And at eight o'clock, there's a charity gala dinner."
"..."
"Understood."
Gordon pressed his fingers to the bridge of his sharp nose, his gaze cold and piercing—so much so that few dared meet his eyes.
It was only eleven in the morning.
He still had two hours before his one o'clock meeting.
After spending the entire night on a plane, Gordon had gone straight from the airport to the conference room without a moment to adjust to the time difference. And with back-to-back engagements all afternoon, he'd told his assistant not to disturb him unless it was urgent once he finally made it to his office.
He had barely closed his eyes when Justice showed up.
Gordon looked up, surprised. "When did you get to Rosenthal, brother-in-law?"
"Just now. Had a last-minute meeting, so I flew in this morning," Justice replied, then hesitated before adding, "Gordon, could you do me a favor?"
"I already did. But I'm worried she's still mad," Justice said quickly. "Come on, Gordon, just call her for me, will you? Once she picks up, I'll apologize myself. Otherwise, I just can't settle down."
Gordon sighed. "Brother-in-law, you're too easygoing. You spoil my sister rotten. Can't you show a little backbone for once?"
In the Cumming family, Alaina's word was law. Justice didn't have a say in even the tiniest matters.
But Justice just grinned, undisturbed. "What's the point of being macho with your wife? Besides, I heard from Mom that most of the men in the Sylvester family are henpecked. You're laughing at me now, but who knows—maybe one day your wife will have you sleeping on the couch. Your sister gets a little moody sometimes, sure, but at least I've never been banished to the couch."
For Justice, as long as he'd never been kicked out of bed, life was good enough.
"Sleeping on the couch?" Gordon let out a low laugh, his dark eyes narrowing. "That would never happen. I'm not as soft as you, brother-in-law, and I'm definitely not a pushover. I won't kneel for anyone. If anyone tries to make me, they'll regret it."

So happy for Carey, the reunion with her family is touching. Can we read more of Caitlin and Gordon? Readers are forgetting that Caitlin has a boyfriend by the way. Is it normal for their relationship to be erased in the storyline?...
Update please......
But where is Gordon?...
Great story, great author!...
