Not long after, Gordon came downstairs, freshly washed and ready for the day.
Max dashed over to greet him. "Good morning, Uncle Gordon!"
Gordon picked up a box of chocolates and handed it to Max. "Here, have some."
"Thank you, Uncle Gordon!"
After exchanging a quick hello with Reba, Gordon turned to Beatrice, who was sitting nearby. "Mom, where's Snow?"
Beatrice chuckled. "You know how Snow is—always wandering off somewhere. Heaven knows where she's gotten to this time."
She gave Gordon a curious look. "You don't usually ask about Snow so much. What's gotten into you? You just got home, and she's the first thing on your mind?"
"It's nothing." Gordon picked up a cup of tea, his expression calm and reserved as always. "Just curious, that's all."

Meanwhile, Caitlin and Fortune had successfully moved into their new house.
To celebrate, Fortune invited several colleagues over for a housewarming party.
The place was filled with laughter and cheerful voices, buzzing with life.
Celeste arrived carrying a bouquet and a basket of fruit. "Catie, congrats on your new place!"
"Thanks, March." Caitlin took the gifts with a smile. "Come in, make yourself at home."
Celeste pulled out a red envelope and pressed it into Caitlin's hands. "Oh, right—my parents insisted I bring this for you."
Before Caitlin could protest, Celeste cut her off. "Don't even think about refusing! My parents said the housewarming gift is for good luck. If you turn it down, you'll be treating them like strangers. They're away on business right now, otherwise they'd have come to celebrate with us in person."
Caitlin accepted the envelope with both hands. "In that case, please thank your parents for me."
"Wait, Gordon's?" Celeste's eyes went wide. "Hold on, Catie—are you two living together now?"
Was her favorite ship finally sailing? The excitement was almost too much.
"March, what are you talking about?" Caitlin tapped Celeste lightly on the head. "Snow is Gordon's cat, but he lets her roam free. She likes to visit me every now and then, that's all."
"Oh, I see…" Celeste's disappointment was written all over her face.
So they weren't living together after all.
Caitlin linked arms with Celeste. "Come on, March, let's go fire up the grill."
"Yes, yes! Barbecue time!" Celeste cheered up instantly, drawn in by the promise of good food.
Caitlin had already set out all the ingredients for the barbecue.

So happy for Carey, the reunion with her family is touching. Can we read more of Caitlin and Gordon? Readers are forgetting that Caitlin has a boyfriend by the way. Is it normal for their relationship to be erased in the storyline?...
Update please......
But where is Gordon?...
Great story, great author!...
