They weren’t about to be fooled by some green little girl.
Just wait.
Caitlin was about to be thrown out of the hospital any minute now.
The thought made the corners of Ann’s lips curl in smug satisfaction.
But Hugo was the first to react. He strode over to Caitlin and offered his hand. “Dr. Kensington, it’s an honor to finally meet you. You really are… well, you’re a remarkable young talent!”
“Yes, Dr. Kensington, truly impressive,” the other brothers chimed in, each nodding in agreement.
It was the first time the Richards brothers had met Caitlin. She was so young, didn’t look anything like the miracle doctor rumored to perform Golden Needle Channel Activation. Yet, for reasons none of them could explain, they instinctively trusted her.
In fact, they trusted her completely.
This was nothing like the scene Ann had pictured.
She’d imagined the Richards brothers would take one look at Caitlin’s youthful face and promptly show her the door.
Instead…
They were actually praising her? Calling her a prodigy?
Were they out of their minds?
Did they really believe this kid knew anything about medicine?
Ridiculous.
Clearly, Ann would have to expose Caitlin’s true colors herself.
Jade stepped forward, introducing each of the Richards brothers in turn.
Caitlin greeted them one by one. “Mr. Willis. Mr. Lyle. Mr. Theodore. Mr. Justin. Mr. Zachary. Mr. Hugo. Mr. Frederick.”
Perhaps because they were brothers, the Richards men shared strikingly similar features—sharp, distinctive, and all of them unusually handsome.
After introductions, Caitlin turned to Jade. “Mrs. Richards, would you mind showing me to Hannah?”
“Of course. My mother’s in the last room down the hall—please, follow me.”
So naive—like a lamb to the slaughter.
But unlike Kelvin, the Richards brothers were overjoyed by Caitlin’s answer.
Justin was so relieved he nearly wept. “That’s wonderful! There’s hope for Mom at last!”
He rushed over, grasping Caitlin’s hand in both of his. “Dr. Kensington, we’re counting on you. Please, save her.”
The gesture was so heartfelt it caught Caitlin off guard. She usually disliked being touched by strangers, but to her surprise, she didn’t mind Justin’s grip at all.
“Mr. Justin, don’t worry. I’ll do everything I can,” she assured him.
Justin seemed taken aback.
With so many brothers, and all of them looking so alike, most people couldn’t tell them apart even after several introductions. Jade had only run through their names once, but Caitlin had remembered each of them without a hitch.
She really wasn’t like anyone else.
Ann stepped forward, fixing Caitlin with a bright, insincere smile. “I must say, Miss Kensington, you’re awfully impressive for someone so young! You’re making the rest of us your age look bad. With your skills, I’m sure you must have graduated from one of the top international medical schools, haven’t you?”

So happy for Carey, the reunion with her family is touching. Can we read more of Caitlin and Gordon? Readers are forgetting that Caitlin has a boyfriend by the way. Is it normal for their relationship to be erased in the storyline?...
Update please......
But where is Gordon?...
Great story, great author!...
