In the past, Keira had always doted on her daughter. She knew how hard Amanda’s life was, especially considering how difficult her birth had been, so she couldn’t bear to let her girl suffer even the slightest hardship.
Even after Amanda got married, Keira insisted that her daughter and son-in-law stay at the family estate. Every month, she sent them a generous allowance to make sure they lived comfortably.
For years, Gavin had tried his hand at business, only to fail time and time again. If it weren’t for the support of the Gonzales family, he would have lost everything a long time ago.
But now, things were different.
Beatrice couldn’t stand the idea of someone who had hurt her granddaughter living under the same roof. She’d let her granddaughter down too many times already, and she was determined to make it right in what time she had left.
The solution was clear: Amanda, Gavin, and Ann would have to move out. Only then could Keira truly have peace of mind.
As soon as Keira made her decision known, Amanda was stunned. Gavin looked just as shocked. Amanda in particular couldn’t believe what she was hearing—her own mother was telling her to move out of Gonzales Manor.
“Mom, you—you can’t be serious, right?” she stammered.
Keira’s expression was resolute. “I’m not joking. I want you to move out tonight. I’ll ask the housekeeper to pack your things and have someone deliver them to you.”
“Mom!”
Amanda tried to protest, but Keira waved her off. “There’s nothing more to say. You reap what you sow.”
Keira turned to the housekeeper. “Please see to it.”
“Yes, ma’am,” the housekeeper replied with a respectful bow.
With that, Keira left the room.
Amanda stood there in disbelief, too stunned to react. She never imagined her mother would choose some country girl over her own daughter—let alone kick her out of the family home.
“Remember, your uncle doesn’t have much time left. When he’s gone, Caitlin will be blamed, and you’ll be the only rightful heir to the Gonzales family.”
Amanda didn’t believe for a second that Caitlin’s amateur medical skills could save Stuart Gonzales.
As the realization settled in, Ann’s expression shifted.
Her mother was right. Once Stuart and Caitlin were both out of the picture, she’d be Keira’s only hope—and the sole heir to the Gonzales legacy.
At that point, Keira would have no choice but to come crawling back.
Amanda patted Ann’s hand. “For now, just keep your head down and stay out of the spotlight. Wait for the storm to pass.”
“I understand,” Ann replied, unwilling but resigned. She could only nod her agreement.

So happy for Carey, the reunion with her family is touching. Can we read more of Caitlin and Gordon? Readers are forgetting that Caitlin has a boyfriend by the way. Is it normal for their relationship to be erased in the storyline?...
Update please......
But where is Gordon?...
Great story, great author!...
