“This isn’t about whether we’re angry! It’s about the Ryans behaving disgracefully. I’ve never once brought up the engagement in front of them, nor have I ever announced to anyone that Farrell is my granddaughter’s fiancé. So what right do they have to suddenly show up and call off the wedding? If word gets out, people will think you can’t even find a husband! They’re making a laughingstock of the Gonzales family!”
What should have been a trivial matter had, thanks to Farrell’s theatrics, blown up into a scandal.
In short, Keira was genuinely furious.
If it weren’t for her respect for Old Mrs. Ryan, she wouldn’t have let Farrell off so easily today.
Caitlin chimed in, “Grandma, from now on, if I run into Farrell, I’ll just pretend I don’t know him.”
“Exactly,” Keira said, clearly approving of her granddaughter’s resolve. “Just act like he’s a stranger. From now on, we avoid the Ryans completely.”
At that moment, something seemed to occur to Caitlin. She added, “By the way, Grandma, there’s something I wanted to ask you.”
“What is it?” Keira turned to look at her.
“Let’s talk upstairs in the study,” Caitlin suggested.
“Alright.”
Keira nodded, and the two of them headed to the elevator and took it up to the fifth-floor study.
Once inside, Caitlin finally asked, “Grandma, did we once have a housekeeper named Marcia?”
For some time now, Caitlin had not only been treating Stuart Gonzales but also quietly investigating the truth about what happened all those years ago. During her search, she discovered that Marcia might be the key to unlocking everything.
Keira didn’t question why her granddaughter wanted to know. Instead, she fell silent, her thoughts drifting far back in time.
No photos.
Caitlin furrowed her brow, disappointed.
Just then, something seemed to dawn on Keira. “Wait, yes—there is one!”
As she spoke, Keira reached for a large group photo on the bookshelf.
It was taken before Caitlin was born. In the picture, Stuart stood next to Carey, who was visibly pregnant, with Keira beside them. On Keira’s other side stood Amanda Gonzales and Gavin Templeton, along with Ann and her family.
At the very edge of the photo stood the butler—and a woman unfamiliar to Caitlin.
Keira pointed to the unknown woman. “Look, Caitlin, that’s Marcia.”

So happy for Carey, the reunion with her family is touching. Can we read more of Caitlin and Gordon? Readers are forgetting that Caitlin has a boyfriend by the way. Is it normal for their relationship to be erased in the storyline?...
Update please......
But where is Gordon?...
Great story, great author!...
