THE DIVORCE GAMBIT From Dumped Wife to CEO's Forever novel Chapter 503

Threatening Xavier with her own death was Katrina’s go-to strategy. It was the only card she had that worked fast—and every time, it got results.

So, she kept playing it.

In Katrina’s eyes, Caitlin was only here for one thing: to steal Celestial Azure away. But what right did Caitlin have? Celestial Azure was hers. No one could take it from her—not Caitlin, not anyone.

Just wait. Xavier would crack any second now, rush over and beg her not to do anything drastic.

A sly smile tugged at Katrina’s lips, her eyes gleaming with triumph.

Then, right on cue, Xavier stopped in his tracks.

Katrina’s satisfaction only deepened. See? She knew Xavier would cave. He always did.

“Xavier, I want you to cut Freya off. Right now. She’s not your sister anymore, and you’re never to acknowledge her again!” Katrina hadn’t wanted to stoop to Caitlin’s level, but Caitlin’s behavior was just revolting—trying to drag Xavier away and snatch Celestial Azure? Pathetic. Did Caitlin really think she was that easy to push around?

Katrina narrowed her eyes and continued, “I’m going to count to three. If you haven’t ended things with Freya by then, I’ll run out into the street and let a car hit me!”

“Three, two—”

Just as she was about to say “one,” Xavier cut her off. “Then go ahead. Throw yourself in front of a car.”

His voice was icy cold.

Right now, Xavier found Katrina utterly repulsive. He didn’t even want to waste another word on her.

He was beyond grateful he’d discovered her true nature before the wedding. The consequences otherwise... He didn’t even want to imagine them.

Jeanette, standing nearby, was stunned. Oh my God. Did Xavier really just say that? From what she knew of him, he should be panicking right now, falling over himself to apologize to Katrina. But instead, he’d told her to go ahead and die.

Jeanette wondered if she’d heard wrong.

Katrina was just as floored, her face frozen in disbelief.

What? Was he out of his mind?

Furious, Katrina shouted, “Xavier, do you even know what you’re saying? I saved your life! Are you really going to be so ungrateful? If it weren’t for me, you’d be dead by now! I’m your second chance at life in this world!”

Caitlin lifted her gaze, her tone calm but firm, “Katrina, stop playing this game. I told you before, the truth always comes out.”

Her words weren’t loud, but Katrina heard every syllable.

The truth always comes out. It was the second time Katrina had heard that from Caitlin. Did Caitlin actually know something? No. Impossible. There was no way.

Katrina turned desperately back to Xavier. “Xavier! Don’t think I’m bluffing! I mean it—I’ll really do it!”

Katrina considered this, eyes narrowed. Jeanette was right. She was Xavier’s savior. There was no way he’d just walk away. He’d come crawling back—just like last time.

Only this time, she wouldn’t forgive him so easily.

A cold, ruthless glint flashed in Katrina’s eyes as she rose shakily to her feet. “Let’s go back to my room.”

“Alright,” Jeanette replied, following Katrina’s lead.

Meanwhile, Xavier and Caitlin were already in the car.

They sat side by side in the back seat while the driver started the engine.

Caitlin glanced at him. “Brother, since you know Katrina isn’t the one who saved you, shouldn’t you cut off all her privileges now?”

Xavier hadn’t just given Katrina a limitless credit card—he’d let her move into the family’s luxury hotel.

“If you hadn’t reminded me, I might have forgotten,” Xavier said, pulling out his phone to text his assistant.

He’d cut Katrina off from everything. And The Prescott Group? They’d pay for their schemes.
