THE DIVORCE GAMBIT From Dumped Wife to CEO's Forever novel Chapter 669

The footage was restored?

Tammie's head snapped up, his anger momentarily forgotten. "Really?" he asked, his voice filled with a desperate hope.

"Yes," Benedict nodded, showing him his phone. "This is the message he just sent me."

J's reply was simple: [Footage recovered.]

Seeing the words, Tammie's excitement surged. "Quick, open the app! Let's see how Tim tries to blackmail me when there's hard evidence!"

With proof, he could not only send Tim to prison but also save CL Jewels from its crisis and, most importantly, clear Ann's name.

Benedict quickly logged into the camera app. The screen, which had been black before, now showed a live feed.

He smiled. "The man really is a legend." J had estimated three days at the earliest, but it had only been two. The man's skills were terrifying.

He navigated to the playback function. Unsure of the exact time of the theft, he set the video to start from the moment the design draft was finalized and hit fast-forward.

Even at high speed, it felt too slow for Tammie. He was desperate to see the proof that would vindicate Ann. "Can you make it go any faster?"

"This is the fastest setting," Benedict replied. "Let's go home and watch it properly." Standing on the street corner wasn't ideal.

Tammie nodded. "You drive, I'll keep watching."

"I'll call a driver. We can both watch."

"Okay."

The driver arrived quickly, and they both got into the back seat, their eyes glued to the phone. The hospital wasn't far from Tammie's villa, and they arrived in twenty minutes. Just as they pulled up, the video reached the point where Ann came to bring Tammie soup.

Seeing her on screen, Tammie said smugly, "See? Look how much Ann cares about me. Does your sister ever bring you soup in the middle of the night?" He was convinced Benedict was just jealous—jealous that he had such a wonderful cousin while his own sister was a selfish brat. That jealousy had turned to slander. He couldn't believe his friend could be so petty.

Benedict shot him a look. "My sister is a practical person. She doesn't do superficial things."

Tammie rolled his eyes. It was obvious Benedict was just trying to save face. He was about to say more but held his tongue. They were home, and he didn't want Ann to overhear their argument.

Sure enough, as they walked in, they saw Ann sitting on the sofa watching TV. Benedict immediately recognized the dress she was wearing as a new-season piece from a luxury brand—at least a five-figure item.

"Tammie, Ben, you're back." Her expression changed the moment she saw him, her voice filled with alarm. "Tammie, what happened to your face? Who did this to you?"

Though his injuries had been treated, Tammie still looked rough. His forehead was bandaged, and his face was bruised and swollen.
