THE DIVORCE GAMBIT From Dumped Wife to CEO's Forever novel Chapter 680

"Yes," Caitlin confirmed.

Hannah sighed. "I remember he was so young. Not even thirty yet. How could such a young man feel so hopeless? Life is so unpredictable." To not fear death meant he must have been carrying an unbearable burden.

"I don't know the details," Caitlin said. "It was very sudden, so Dad and I have to fly back immediately. Grandma, it's late, so I won't disturb Uncle and the others."

"Of course, of course. You two go ahead," Hannah said, getting up and wrapping a robe around herself. "Have you contacted the pilot?"

The Richards family had a private jet, and as Warren had recently filed a flight plan for the week, it was ready for immediate departure.

"I've already spoken with Steward Lowell," Caitlin replied.

"Good."

He was deeply touched. "Thank you, Miss Caitlin. If we get the chance, my wife and I will definitely visit." He then added, "Miss Caitlin, Mr. Stuart, I wish you a safe journey."

Since it was a private flight, they were able to depart as soon as they cleared security. Ten minutes later, they were on the plane. It was now past one in the morning. Stuart handed Caitlin a blanket. "Freya, try to get some sleep. It's going to be a long few days when we get to The Capital."

"Okay, Dad," Caitlin nodded. "You get some rest too."
