The more Old Mrs. Sterling thought about it, the more anxious she became.
"Master Ninth?" Justus scoffed at the name. "So what about him? He's a man, not a god. I'd say he's just been blinded by lust! That's why he's doing something so utterly laughable."
Say what you will, Caitlin was undeniably attractive.
Justus turned to his grandmother. "Grandma, just you wait. Every single company that has spoken up for Freya will be buried right alongside the Gonzales family!"
"And Master Ninth will be no exception!"
Although the Sylvester family had deep roots and Gordon stood at the pinnacle of the business world, this crisis was not so easily managed. Gordon was a man, not a god. Unless he could also invent a miracle cure for epilepsy, he would be powerless to quell the public outrage. If he couldn't, the Sylvester family would be dragged down with him. It was laughable that Gordon, who had dominated the business world for so many years, couldn't grasp such a simple concept. It seemed the Sylvester dynasty was finally at its end.
Jasmine nodded in agreement. "Mother, think about it! Freya has offended every epilepsy patient in the world! No matter how powerful Master Ninth is, he can't possibly fix a mess this big."
"It looks like the winds in Eldermere are truly changing," Jasmine mused.
Once the Sylvester family and the others fell, the business world would be reshuffled. A sly glint appeared in Jasmine's eyes. "Mother, our Justus is so brilliant. He might be able to seize this opportunity and make a grand entrance onto the business stage!"
Justus could very well be the next Master Ninth. When one generation falls, another rises, and Justus was a standout leader of his generation.
Old Mrs. Sterling narrowed her eyes, thinking her grandson and daughter-in-law had a point. Caitlin hadn't just offended one person. No matter how many powerful connections she had, she couldn't possibly fill this hole.
She looked up at Justus, her voice firm. "Justus, keep working hard. Grandma believes you can reach the top and stand shoulder to shoulder with Master Ninth!"
Though Justus was young, his capabilities were plain for all to see. It was rare to find a young man as outstanding as him these days. She was different from Keira, who completely doted on Caitlin, seeing even her flaws as virtues. If Caitlin were her granddaughter, she would have thrown her out of the house long ago.
Justus smiled. "Don't worry, Grandma, I won't let you down. You can entrust the revitalization of our family to me!"
"Good," Old Mrs. Sterling nodded. She truly believed he could do it. In today's world, there were few young men as ambitious and capable as Justus. In her eyes, no one could compare to her grandson. Looking at him, her face filled with pride.
