"Why?" Caitlin asked curiously.
Keira was about to say that Gordon was too stingy and had a bad reputation, but the words that came out were, "He's not good enough for you."
A penny-pinching man, no matter how handsome or wealthy, was not marriage material. Besides, Keira had recently heard that Gordon was an arrogant chauvinist—a common flaw among the rich. How could anyone be happy with a man like that?
Caitlin laughed. "Okay."
Meanwhile, waiting at the park entrance, Gordon let out a sudden, inexplicable sneeze.
"Achoo!"
He pressed his fingers to the bridge of his nose.
Was someone bad-mouthing him?
No! It must be Catie thinking of him!
A smile spread across his face. His girlfriend was so clingy. They hadn't seen each other in two days, and she was already missing him so much it made him sneeze.
Gordon pulled his phone out of his pocket, opened PayPal, and sent Caitlin a transfer of 520,000.
He added the note: [A voluntary gift]
He had just read in a book that the best way to express love was through money transfers. If Caitlin was missing him enough to make him sneeze, he had to show his affection in return.
Caitlin, who had just crossed the street with Monday: ???
What was wrong with this guy? He was constantly sending her money, at least five figures every time. She had tried blocking his PayPal account, but the next day, he would just use a different account to send more.
Gordon spotted her and waved with a broad smile. "Catie!"
Monday barked excitedly. "Woof woof woof!"
The light was red. The moment it turned green, Gordon eagerly crossed the street. They met in the middle of the crosswalk, where he naturally took Caitlin's hand and the leash for Monday.
"You sent me money again?" Caitlin asked, looking up at him.
"Mhm," Gordon said, squeezing her hand. "I've told you before, what's mine is yours, and what's yours is still yours. These are voluntary gifts, so you don't need to feel any pressure."
"And most importantly," he added, "your boyfriend has plenty of money. Even if I sent you half a million every day, I wouldn't run out in ten lifetimes. This little bit won't affect my ranking on the Forbes list at all."
If anyone was ecstatic about Caitlin's prophecy coming true, it was Leo Barrett.
He was the one who had signed the high-stakes bet with Caitlin. Their agreement was for six months, and since the deadline hadn't passed, he was stuck with his shares in Gonzales Holdings even when the company was in crisis. He couldn't sell even if he wanted to.
So, he had been forced to ride out the storm.
He never expected that his misfortune would turn into a massive windfall. Not only had Gonzales Holdings survived, but it had also risen to new heights.
And he held a whopping eighteen percent of the company's shares, making him its largest shareholder.
"Good news! Mr. Barrett! Fantastic news!" The office door burst open, and his assistant, Annie, walked in, beaming.
"What is it?" Leo looked up.
Annie closed the door behind her. "Stuart transferred all of his shares to Freya!"
"Really?" Leo's eyes widened, a look of pure joy on his face.
He had a bet with Caitlin. If she couldn't create a star product within six months, all of her shares in Gonzales Holdings would belong to him. Now that Stuart had given her all of his shares, it meant that the entire Gonzales Holdings was about to become his.

So happy for Carey, the reunion with her family is touching. Can we read more of Caitlin and Gordon? Readers are forgetting that Caitlin has a boyfriend by the way. Is it normal for their relationship to be erased in the storyline?...
Update please......
But where is Gordon?...
Great story, great author!...
