THE DIVORCE GAMBIT From Dumped Wife to CEO's Forever novel Chapter 751

Mrs. Palmer nodded.

--

At Vance Castle, Rosemary was scrolling through WhatsApp, chatting with a friend, when a video from her best friend, Renee, popped up in her feed.

She tapped to play it.

It was an interview segment. The man on screen was in his early forties; though his temples were frosted with silver, he was still strikingly handsome, with bright, sharp eyes that radiated charisma.

He looked so familiar.

Rosemary's eyes shot wide open, and she bolted upright from her rocking chair.

Good heavens!

Was that Stuart Gonzales?!

Swallowing hard, she immediately placed a video call. Renee answered almost instantly.

"Hey, Rosie, what's up? Did you need something?"

"That video you just sent me," Rosemary asked, her voice tight with urgency, "When was it from?"

"Just recently."

Rosemary was stunned. "Is it AI?"

With technology advancing so rapidly, AI-generated videos were becoming frighteningly realistic. Her first thought upon seeing Stuart was that it had to be a deepfake.

After all, Stuart had been bedridden for over twenty years, practically given a death sentence by his doctors. How could someone like that possibly just wake up?

"Mother."

"What is it?" the Dowager asked, not even bothering to open her eyes.

Rosemary glanced at Flavia. "That's enough. Go to the kitchen and make some dessert for us. I'm craving chocolate chip cookies."

"Of course," Flavia replied with a placid nod. Although she wasn't a servant in the castle, she had grown used to being ordered around by Rosemary over the years. She knew Rosemary harbored a deep resentment toward her, and in a way, she understood. Quinton Vance had been Rosemary's only brother, a man described by everyone in the family as exceptionally brilliant. Had Quinton lived, he would have undoubtedly led the Vance family to even greater heights.

So, it was only natural for Rosemary to hate her.

As soon as Flavia had left, the Dowager sat up, her eyes now open and fixed on her daughter. "What's happened?"

A mother knows her daughter best. The Dowager knew this wasn't about a sudden craving for cookies. Rosemary had sent Flavia away because she had something important to say.
