"I've heard the Rhelasian martial arts are amazing. She must be from Rhelasia!"
"…"
The nations of Rhelasia and Eldermere were geographically close, so it was a common mistake for Valerians to confuse the two. Caitlin wasn't one for correcting strangers, but hearing this, she turned her head slightly and stated, clearly and firmly, "I'm from Eldermere."
"Wow! So she's from Eldermere!"
"That was so cool!"
"I didn't know Eldemerian martial arts were so powerful!"
"…"
Olivia's mother, finally snapping out of her shock, rushed over and hugged her daughter, sobbing with relief. She then took Olivia's hand and bowed repeatedly to Caitlin. "Thank you! Thank you so much for what you did!"
Caitlin helped her up. "It's alright. Just be sure to keep a close eye on her when you're out. That was far too dangerous."
"I will, I promise," the young mother said, nodding. "My name is Zelda, and this is my daughter, Olivia. May I ask your name? Which hotel are you staying at? Could I please have your contact information?" She had to repay the woman who had saved her daughter's life.
"It's enough to know that I'm from Eldermere," Caitlin replied, not offering her name. She turned to Celeste. "March, let's go."
"Okay, Catie." Celeste took her friend's arm.
As they walked away from the crowd, Celeste squeezed her arm excitedly. "Catie, you were so awesome back there! You completely stunned those locals; they were speechless!" It wasn't just the locals; Celeste had been blown away too. It reminded her of the first time she'd met Caitlin.
Caitlin raised an eyebrow and smiled. "Was it that dramatic?"
"Yes! Absolutely!" Celeste lamented, "It just happened so fast, I didn't even have time to get my phone out to record it."
Zelda kissed her daughter's cheek, then turned and gave one last, deep bow in the direction of Caitlin's retreating figure. "Olivia, remember this. The person who saved you is from Eldermere."
The crowd slowly dispersed, leaving only a tall, imposing figure standing in the same spot. The deep brim of his hat shadowed his eyes. Holding a walking stick, he looked like a nobleman who had stepped straight out of an old Valerian oil painting.

The next morning, Celia arrived at the hotel right on time to pick up Caitlin.
Celeste was still lounging in bed. "Celia, I don't know anything about medicine, so I think I'll stay here." She was a considerate person; she knew Brock's situation was critical and the Palmer family wouldn't be in any mood to entertain guests. It was best not to get in the way.
"Alright, then," Celia said. "Once things with Brock are settled, I'll take you both sightseeing."
The Palmer family's castle was only three kilometers from the hotel, but the estate was so vast that the car had to navigate a winding series of roads for several minutes before reaching the inner courtyard.
