THE DIVORCE GAMBIT From Dumped Wife to CEO's Forever novel Chapter 779

"Alright then, but I heard you need to book that place in advance. Can we still get a table?"

"Of course! There's nothing a little money can't solve," Celeste said, tapping away on her phone. "My treat this time, and if you argue, I'm not speaking to you again."

Caitlin chuckled. "Okay, okay, I'll let you have your moment."

"Great! I'm going to get ready then." A dinner at a beautiful riverside restaurant with a gorgeous friend called for a full-glam look. She had been lying in bed all morning because of the pain and hadn't even washed her face.

"Sounds good," Caitlin nodded. "I'll get some work done. Just let me know when you're ready."

"You got it."

Humming a tune, Celeste went to get ready, while Caitlin opened her laptop to work.

Two hours later, Celeste emerged, fully dressed and made up, with her favorite bag slung over her shoulder. "Catie, I'm ready to go!"

"Coming."

Caitlin closed her laptop. She was dressed simply in a white top, black pants, and combat boots. Even without a trace of makeup, she was breathtakingly beautiful, evoking the lines of a poem: *Fingers like sculpted jade, lips like juicy peach, each step a delicate dance, a peerless marvel in this world.*

Celeste's eyes widened. "You mean the Windsors? From that castle we saw the other day?"

"Yes," Caitlin confirmed.

Three days earlier, they had stumbled upon a magnificent and imposing castle near a tourist spot. It spanned over twenty hectares, and a quick search revealed it belonged to the Windsor family. Celeste never imagined she would encounter them in her hotel lobby.

It was her first time being this close to the legendary Valerium royalty, and she couldn't help but feel nervous. "Catie, should we still go out? It looks like they're about to hold some kind of ceremony. I feel like we came down at the wrong time."

"They can have their ceremony, and we can go our way," Caitlin said, leading Celeste toward the exit.
