Changing the subject, Flavia asked, "Did you enjoy the pastries I gave you the other day?"
"I loved them! They were delicious," Tina said enthusiastically. "My family loved them too."
Flavia then retrieved another box from her cabinet. "Then take this one as well. I just made it yesterday." Baking was Flavia's only solace in the castle, but the Dowager and Rosemary had long grown tired of her creations, and the other servants were too afraid to accept anything from her. Most of her pastries ended up being fed to the animals in the castle grounds.
"Ma'am, you've already given me one box. I can't accept another," Tina said, waving her hands.
"You're one of the few who appreciates them. Consider it our little bond," Flavia said with a gentle smile. "Besides, it's not as if they're valuable."
"Well, in that case, thank you so much, ma'am!"
"You're welcome."

At ten o'clock in the morning, Caitlin and Celeste walked out of the hotel.
"It's her! The heroine from Eldermere! John, bring Olivia over here!" Zelda exclaimed excitedly.
John scooped up his daughter, who was playing by the fountain. "Where?"
"Over there!" Zelda pointed.
John followed her gaze and immediately spotted Caitlin in the crowd. His wife was right; she was a truly remarkable-looking young woman.
"Let's go," Zelda urged.
"Right behind you," John nodded, following his wife.
"Our benefactor! Benefactor!"
The family of three hurried over to Caitlin. She looked at them, a bit confused.
Zelda quickly explained, "You might not remember me, but my name is Zelda. This is my daughter, Olivia, and my husband, John. About a week ago, you saved Olivia's life. If it weren't for you, she wouldn't be here today."
Seeing the little girl in John's arms, the memory came back to Caitlin. "Oh, it's you!"
"Freya!"
Celia's voice called out from a short distance away. Today was the day Caitlin was scheduled for Brock's follow-up appointment.
Caitlin looked at Zelda. "My friend is calling me. We should go."
"Of course," Zelda nodded.
Caitlin took Celeste's wrist, and they headed toward Celia.
Zelda watched them go before making a call. "Hello?"
"Zelda, did you find the heroine from Eldermere?" Tina's voice came from the other end.
"We found her!" Zelda said happily. "Get off work early tomorrow night. I've invited her to dinner, and I want you to be there." Having another young woman there would make Caitlin and her friend feel more comfortable.
"Sure!" Tina said brightly. "And the lady gave me more pastries today. I can bring them for her. She must be missing food from home after being away for so long."

So happy for Carey, the reunion with her family is touching. Can we read more of Caitlin and Gordon? Readers are forgetting that Caitlin has a boyfriend by the way. Is it normal for their relationship to be erased in the storyline?...
Update please......
But where is Gordon?...
Great story, great author!...
