THE DIVORCE GAMBIT From Dumped Wife to CEO's Forever novel Chapter 805

In Brock's mind, Caitlin had definitely chosen Will.

Will wasn't just rich; he had power and looks.

Compared to Will, Brock was indeed a few notches below.

It was only natural for Caitlin to choose Will.

"No," Celia said, shaking her head.

Hearing his sister's reply, Brock was utterly surprised.

Very few people could refuse Will's advances! At least, he had never heard of anyone in Valerium doing so. And...

If Caitlin rejected Brock, did that mean he had a small chance?

At this thought, Brock's eyes lit up again.

Although he and Caitlin hadn't spent much time together, he just liked her.

It was an uncontrollable kind of liking.

Celia immediately saw through her brother's thoughts and doused his hopes with a single sentence. "Brock, don't get ahead of yourself. What I mean is, if Freya isn't even interested in Will, what makes you think she'd be interested in you?"

It was a harsh thing to say.

But it was the truth.

The light in Brock's eyes quickly faded.

That's right.

Celia was right.

If Caitlin wasn't interested in someone like Will, why on earth would she be interested in him?

Celia patted Brock's shoulder reassuringly. "Brock, try to look on the bright side. There's a famous saying in Eldermere: 'Plenty of fish in the sea.' While you might not find someone better than Freya, you'll definitely find someone who's a better fit for you."

Brock forced a smile. "Yeah, I hope so!"

But would he really? Brock didn't know.

Meanwhile.

Windsor Castle.

Upon learning that Caitlin had rejected his flowers, Will let out a smile. "Heh, interesting. This is getting more and more interesting."

Ham looked at Will, asking uncertainly, "My Lord, should we continue sending flowers to Miss Gonzales?"

After all, Caitlin had already sent a message through the concierge, telling Will not to waste his time on meaningless things.

"Send them! Of course, we'll send them!" Will narrowed his eyes. "I refuse to believe that the play-hard-to-get strategy Master Ninth taught me won't work on her!"

The whole strategy Gordon had laid out was so effective, Will was convinced it would confuse not just Caitlin.

Even he, a man, would be completely hooked by it.

Ham nodded.

After a moment, Ham spoke again. "By the way, My Lord, there's one more thing."

Will stroked his chin. "If I remember correctly, Freya was supposed to fly back to Eldermere this morning, wasn't she? Why hasn't she left yet?"

"That's right," Ham nodded. "Miss Gonzales canceled her ticket last night."

Will narrowed his eyes. "She had already decided to go back, but suddenly stayed. Ham, what do you think she's up to?"

Ham thought for a moment, then said, "I believe Miss Gonzales must have stayed in Valerium because of your pursuit. She knows you wouldn't chase her all the way to Eldermere."

Other than that reason, Ham couldn't think of anything else.

After all, Will wasn't just anybody.

Being pursued by someone so noble, Caitlin would surely be reluctant to give up so easily.

Evidently, Will was very pleased with this answer. "You make an excellent point, Ham. I didn't know you had such a sharp mind! It seems Freya is already starting to fall for me. If I just push a little harder, she's sure to accept my pursuit."

Which meant he would get to see Caitlin cry very soon!

Will grew more excited the more he thought about it.

It was as if he could already see Caitlin kneeling on the floor, crying and clutching his sleeve, begging him not to leave.

Vance Castle.

Dowager Vance's bedroom was filled with the scent of calming incense. Due to frequent nightmares, she also kept a statue of Jesus in her room.

Ten o'clock at night.
