THE DIVORCE GAMBIT From Dumped Wife to CEO's Forever novel Chapter 851

Celia jotted down the number, double-checking it with Caitlin Kensington to make sure it was correct. She looked at Caitlin earnestly. "Don't worry, Freya. I'll contact Zach right away."

Caitlin nodded slightly. "Thank you, Celia."

"Don’t say that, Freya, we're friends."

Although Celia had no idea who Zach was—she'd never even heard his name—she trusted that if Caitlin had told her to call him, he must be someone who could help.

With that, Celia pressed the call button.

Just then, the visiting time ended.

Caitlin was led away by the guards.

Meanwhile, the call went unanswered, the line ringing out into silence.

Celia frowned. "Why isn't he picking up?"

She didn't give up. As she walked out of the building, she dialed again and again.

But each time, the result was the same: no answer.

With a sigh of resignation, Celia had no choice but to get in her car and drive back.

Elsewhere, Zach's phone had died and was plugged in, charging on his office desk. It vibrated and rang repeatedly, but there was no one there to hear it.

In Hollis's bedroom, the prince, who had been lying motionless on the bed, suddenly opened his eyes.

It happened without any warning.

The servant watching over him gasped in joyful surprise. "Your Majesty! Your Majesty, Prince Hollis is awake!"

Sally, who was standing by the window, immediately spun around.

She saw that not only was Hollis awake, but he was sitting up in bed.

Her eyes widened in disbelief. "Oh, my God!"

After countless specialists had declared he might never wake up, her son was suddenly conscious.

The next second, Sally rushed over, throwing her arms around Hollis, tears of joy streaming down her face. "Hollis! Hollis! You're finally awake! Do you have any idea how long I've waited for this day?"

No one could comprehend the depth of her happiness. Hollis was her only son, the sole heir to Valerium. If anything happened to him, her world would crumble.

Thank God. Thank God he was awake.

Sally was so overcome with emotion that she failed to notice the vacant, empty look in his eyes.

Suddenly, Hollis let out a guttural sound.

"Gah!" He coughed up a mouthful of blood, spraying it across the room. The servant standing opposite him was caught in the crimson shower, the sight horrifyingly grotesque.

She screamed in terror, "Aaaah!"

After expelling the blood, Hollis went limp, as if his soul had been ripped from his body. He collapsed against Sally like a boneless puppet.

The news struck Zach like a physical blow. His expression hardened. He turned to the Shadow Guard operative. "From this moment on, contact me the instant you have any lead, no matter how small."

"Understood, Mr. Zach."

Without another word, Zach broke into a run, following the servant toward Hollis's chambers.

He reached the bedroom in about five minutes. The moment he stepped inside, Sally rushed to him. "Zach, Hollis… he just threw up blood! After he did, he became so pale. Please, you have to look at him."

Zach went straight to the bedside and took Hollis's wrist to check his pulse.

Hollis's complexion was ghastly, beyond pale. It was a deathly, paper-white sheen, the kind one sees on a corpse, completely devoid of any sign of life.

After a minute, Zach released Hollis's wrist.

Sally immediately pressed, "How is he? What's wrong with him?"

Zach's expression was grave. "Prince Hollis's condition is critical. He needs the Golden Needle Channel Activation within the next two hours, but only my master knows how to perform it."

He looked Sally in the eye. "We have to find my master, right now!"

The Golden Needle Channel Activation was a legendary technique, said to be able to bring the dead back to life.

Although Zach had observed his master perform it many times, he had never grasped its core principles. He couldn't perform it alone.

Besides, Hollis's royal status meant that any mistake during the procedure would have catastrophic consequences.

Hearing Zach's diagnosis, Sally covered her mouth, her eyes turning red. "What… what if we can't find Dr. Oracle within six hours?"
