THE DIVORCE GAMBIT From Dumped Wife to CEO's Forever novel Chapter 895

With that, Gordon turned and left.

"Wait, Master Ninth, hold on!"

"What is it?" Gordon stopped and looked back at Will.

"Take me with you. I could go for some afternoon tea too," Will said.

Of course, he didn't actually want tea. He wanted to see who this girlfriend of Gordon's was.

"It's a date for two. Are you planning on being the third wheel?" Gordon shot him a look of disdain.

Will was speechless.

Watching Gordon's retreating back, Will muttered to himself, "His girlfriend summons him like a dog, and he still claims he's not whipped."

--

Thirty minutes later, Gordon arrived at the location Caitlin had mentioned.

She was already there, dressed in a long, sage-green dress that made her skin look as white as snow and her lips a vibrant red.

To his annoyance, a man was hitting on her.

Just as the man pulled out his phone, trying to get Caitlin's WhatsApp, Gordon's brow furrowed. He quickened his pace and walked over. "Catie, sorry I'm late."

The man looked up in disbelief. Gordon met his gaze and said, enunciating each word clearly, "I'm her boyfriend."

The man's face instantly turned crimson with embarrassment. He had assumed Caitlin was just making up an excuse when she said she had a boyfriend. He never expected the boyfriend to be right there.

"My apologies." With that, the man made a hasty retreat from the cafe.

Gordon finally sat down across from Caitlin. "My girlfriend is quite the charmer."

Caitlin chuckled. "Are you jealous?"

"Yes," Gordon nodded seriously. "I'm jealous."

He never hid his feelings. If he was angry, he was angry. If he was jealous, he was jealous. He had read a book on relationships that said the worst thing a couple could do was guess each other's feelings. Communication was key.

"Alright, alright. I'll feed you a bite of my ice cream, and you won't be mad anymore," Caitlin cooed, scooping a bit from her bowl and holding it out to him.

Gordon obediently opened his mouth.

"One bite isn't enough."

"Then three bites," Caitlin offered.

Gordon finally nodded. "That's more like it."

"That can't be right," Shipley said, scratching his head. "I thought Master Ninth was committed to being single."

Committed to being single? That made things even more interesting.

Upon hearing this, Claire immediately took out her phone and snapped a picture of the scene. She wasn't just a talent agent; she also owned a gossip publication. Gordon was at the pinnacle of the financial world. A story like this would be explosive! A magnate like Master Ninth wouldn't bother quibbling with a small-time gossip rag.

At Somerset Group, Jeremiah was waiting for Stuart to personally come and apologize.

Knock, knock, knock.

A knock came from the door. Jeremiah's heart leaped. It had to be someone from Gonzales Holdings!

"Come in!"

"Mr. Somerset, Mr. Somerset!" His secretary rushed in, frantic. "It's terrible! Terrible!"

Jeremiah frowned. "What's with all the panic?"

The secretary blurted out, "Gonzales Holdings released a public statement terminating our contract! And they even said in the statement that they will never work with our group again!"

"What?" Jeremiah felt as if he'd been struck by lightning. Shouldn't Stuart be rushing over to apologize to him?
