Not long ago, the social media buzz about Gordon and Miss Gonzales had been relentless, and his public declaration of love had won him countless new fans.
Lucilla was one of the many who shipped them as a couple.
"Hold on, hold on, don't get your hopes up," Barrett interrupted his girlfriend's fantasy. "Think about who Master Ninth is! And Miss Gonzales! Why would they ever come to a place like this to eat? Besides, I heard from Secretary Johnny that our Master Ninth is a bit of a germaphobe and rarely eats out. That's why the Sylvester family butler personally has every meal delivered to him at the office."
"The car is probably just parked here by chance."
Her excitement deflated a little. Her boyfriend had a point. Master Ninth and Miss Gonzales were incredibly distinguished people.
There was no way they would be eating here.
Still.
Just seeing Master Ninth's car was enough to make her happy.
The two of them continued into the restaurant.
The moment he stepped inside, Barrett froze, his eyes widening in disbelief.
No way... Was he seeing things? Because the man sitting there, totally focused on his meal, was Gordon. Without a doubt.
For a second, Barrett couldn't believe his own eyes.
He rubbed them.
But the scene in front of him remained unchanged.
Seeing her boyfriend lag behind, Lucilla turned back curiously. "What's wrong?"
Barrett struggled to compose himself. "Lucilla… you… look over there."
Lucilla followed his gaze, and when she saw them, she froze too. "Miss Gonzales! Master Ninth!"
Barrett quickly clamped a hand over her mouth. "Keep your voice down!"
When she was ordering, Caitlin had felt hungry enough to eat a horse, grabbing anything that looked good. Now, only halfway through her meal, she was starting to feel full. She patted her stomach and pushed the rest of her meat skewers toward Gordon. "I'm full. You can finish the rest."
She slid her plate over to him.
Gordon naturally took it. "Okay."
He was used to this. Caitlin's leftovers were always his to finish, which was why he always made sure to order less for himself whenever they ate out together.
Seeing this, Barrett was utterly stunned.
Was… was this really the same ascetic, aloof, and unapproachable Master Ninth he knew?
The man before him was a completely different person from the Gordon he saw at Sylvester Group.
Lucilla was even more incredulous, and then she spoke, her voice laced with dissatisfaction. "See that? Even Master Ninth eats his girlfriend's leftovers. And you? I offer you the half of my sandwich I can't finish, and you give me a whole lecture! Something about how in your hometown, men can't eat women's leftovers! Are you more high and mighty than Master Ninth?"

So happy for Carey, the reunion with her family is touching. Can we read more of Caitlin and Gordon? Readers are forgetting that Caitlin has a boyfriend by the way. Is it normal for their relationship to be erased in the storyline?...
Update please......
But where is Gordon?...
Great story, great author!...
