THE DIVORCE GAMBIT From Dumped Wife to CEO's Forever novel Chapter 935

Gordon got back into the driver's seat.

Caitlin waved to him. "Drive safe."

"I will."

Just as Caitlin turned to walk away, she seemed to remember something and turned back. "Gordon, wait a second."

Gordon hadn't started the car yet.

He always waited for her to go inside before he would pull away.

"What is it, Catie?" Gordon opened the door and got out.

"I have something for you, too."

Gordon's eyes instantly lit up. "Really?"

"Of course," Caitlin continued. "I just forgot to give it to you earlier."

She pulled a small jewelry box from her purse and handed it to Gordon. "Take a look."

Gordon took the box and gently opened it.

Inside, nestled on the rich, black velvet, lay a pair of stunning emerald cufflinks.

The color was exquisite, with not a single impurity.

"Thank you, boss. I love them," Gordon said, pulling Caitlin into a hug. His heart felt full to bursting. He was wearing a white dress shirt today. "Will you help me put them on?"

"Of course."

Caitlin nodded, took one of the cufflinks, and fastened it onto his sleeve.

The emeralds caught the sunlight, reflecting a mysterious green glow that perfectly complemented the powerful aura he naturally exuded.

Caitlin had asked a contact to acquire these cufflinks for her at an auction in Aethelgard.

The moment she saw them, she knew they would be perfect for Gordon.

By his future father-in-law and mother-in-law, no less.

And on their home turf!

It was the perfect storm of awkwardness.

Gordon wanted to find a hole and crawl into it. He struggled to compose himself, looked at Stuart and Carey, and tried to speak calmly. "M-Mr. and Mrs. Gonzales, good afternoon."

Carey had never met Gordon in person before.

From his photos, she had thought the young man had a fine appearance and an excellent bearing. But seeing him in person, she realized he was even more impressive, exuding an aura of power and success. He had the look of a true leader.

No wonder he had achieved so much at such a young age.

Setting aside the rumor that Gordon was stingy, Carey's first impression of him was quite favorable.

He was handsome, in great shape, and incredibly capable.
