THE DIVORCE GAMBIT From Dumped Wife to CEO's Forever novel Chapter 964

"Wonderful." Keeley accepted the glass with a broad smile.

Seeing his family treat him with such kindness and respect brought him immense joy.

After he finished his tea, the couple showed Keeley to his bedroom for the night.

In an effort to please him, they had specially prepared their own master bedroom for him to sleep in.

Keeley was deeply moved. "Trevor, Floy, you're both too good to me! You really didn't have to give up your room. Any room would have been fine!"

Floy smiled warmly. "How could we let you sleep in just any room? At your age, you're a light sleeper. You deserve the best room for the best night's rest. We young people can sleep anywhere."

Her words touched Keeley even more. He was increasingly certain that he had made the right decision with his money.

From now on, all he had to do was enjoy a peaceful retirement.

Trevor added, "Uncle Keeley, it's getting late. You should get some rest. Floy and I won't disturb you any longer."

"Alright." Keeley nodded.

Floy asked, "Uncle Keeley, what would you like for breakfast tomorrow? I'll make it for you."

Keeley chuckled. "Don't go to any special trouble for me. I'll eat whatever you're having."

Trevor chimed in at the perfect moment. "I remember Uncle Keeley loves a good bacon and egg sandwich."

"Perfect, perfect," Floy quickly agreed. "Then I'll get up tomorrow morning and make bacon and egg sandwiches."

After his nephew and niece-in-law left, Keeley immediately placed a video call to Fortune.

Though it was late, older people tend to sleep lightly, and Fortune was still awake. He answered the call right away.

Keeley looked at Fortune through the screen. "Fortune, I've arrived home safely. Let me show you how devoted my nephew and his wife are—they even gave me their master bedroom! Tell me, who else has such wonderful relatives?"

"The other day, when I told you I was going to transfer the money to them, you were worried I'd be left with nothing. See now? It was never about the money. If they were only being nice to me for my money, they wouldn't have any reason to keep it up, since I already gave it all to them this afternoon! But here they are, still treating me so well."

He was glad he hadn't listened to Fortune and Caitlin. To have done so would have been an injustice to his loving family.

Between relatives, suspicion and distrust were the most damaging things.

Hearing that Keeley had already given away the money, Fortune's heart sank. "Keeley, listen to me, you still need to be careful. You still have that one million left in your account, right? Whatever you do, don't let that go."
