As Ewan and Joanne turned around, they saw the warehouse doors burst open with a loud bang.
A squad of police officers stormed in, shouting, "Hands in the air! Don't move!"
The cops were here!
The sudden turn of events drained the color from Ewan and Joanne's faces.
Still trying to keep up appearances, Ewan shouted, "Where are my men? Where the hell are my men?"
Ewan's henchmen had already been forced to the ground.
"Mr. Ewan, we're over here! We're surrounded!"
What? They were surrounded? How was that even possible?
Today's operation had been meticulously planned. This place was quite secluded, so no one was supposed to know about it.
How could they possibly be surrounded?
"Put your hands in the air!" Two officers stepped forward and grabbed Ewan and Joanne.
Another officer moved over to Hailey and quickly untied the rope around her wrists.
Furious, Joanne glared at Hailey, demanding, "Hailey, what's going on? Why are the police here?"
Hailey let out a cold laugh. "Don't you find it strange? You thought your little scheme was flawless, didn't you? That you'd covered your tracks so well, and yet… Here the police are. They've got the place surrounded as well."
"Hailey, what's going on? What the hell did you do?" Ewan asked.
Just then, a low voice cut through the tension.
"Ewan! Joanne!"
Both of them looked up. They were shocked when they saw who it was.
Joanne called out in disbelief, "Jonah!"
Jonah walked in with Justin by his side.

When will Hailey show that she is Adam's cousin and be ruthless? Joanne needs to be put in her place and realize Jonah does not want her. Ewan is just as bad as she is. Hailey needs to get help from Celine or Adam if she doesn't want Jonah to find out what's happening....
If the focus has to go on other characters in the book, at least make it more interesting! They were separated for three years, and still having love rivals! Especially one from the past!!! Why can’t Ewan and Joanne move in together and move on!!...
Imagine the long read if they decide to switch back to Adam and Celine. Not reading this with the same enthusiasm from the beginning....
How does anyone in their senses meet up with someone who almost hurt them and their unborn child. This author is dumb and needs to wrap this crap up. All of a sudden Hailey and kala are playing Celine and Carly's role as another character. Nonsense....
Is this still story for Celine and Adam?...
And yet again, they get away with evil!!!...
That’s gruesome to have 2 months pregnancy forcibly terminated by other characters . What kind of hospital doctors is that ?...
So until when would Hailey keep her pregnancy from Jonah...
