The Divorce Prescription (Celina and Adam) novel Chapter 1001

"I'm guessing you already figured it out, am I right?" Hailey said.

Justin stared at Hailey in disbelief, then looked at Jonah.

"Jonah, did you two know Ewan and Joanne were going to make a move tonight? So this whole thing was your plan from the start?" Justin asked.

Jonah nodded. "That's right."

A few hours ago, he and Hailey had been in the study when he got the call from Justin.

Jonah had immediately decided he wasn't going to the office that night. No matter how much money was at stake, nothing was more important than his wife and child.

He wanted to stay with them.

However, Hailey held him by the arm and insisted he go to the office.

Someone as sharp as Jonah immediately sensed something was off.

He asked, "Hailey, why do you keep trying to get me to go to the office? I feel like you're hiding something from me."

Hailey looked at him with a smile and responded, "What if I am?"

Jonah said, "For all I know, you might just be trying to get rid of me so you can run away by yourself again!"

Hailey burst out laughing. "Really, Jonah? You think I'm able to run away that easily?"

Jonah nodded seriously. "Yes. You're already run off plenty of times, and every time, I had to chase you down and bring you back!"

Hailey felt a bitter ache in her heart, but she still smiled. "Jonah, do you believe me? I've always been here. I never left you!"
