The Divorce Prescription (Celina and Adam) novel Chapter 941

Joanne couldn't afford to let Justin know she was working with Ewan—the bodyguards were Ewan's men.

With a smile, she said, "I hired them myself. I'll admit, it cost me a fortune—they're top-tier professionals."

"Professionals?" Justin repeated, glancing at them warily.

Upon sensing his unease, Joanne quickly redirected the conversation. "Justin, have you forgotten what we agreed on? This is about protecting Jonah. And today, Ms. Hailey needs to be taught a lesson."

Justin nodded, his doubt slowly fading.

"Take her away!" Joanne ordered sharply.

A surge of panic shot through Hailey. She struggled against the bodyguards, shouting, "Let me go! This is illegal! Justin, I know you're not a bad person—you can't just stand there and let this happen! You know what? I'm pre—"

Before she could finish the sentence, Joanne signaled one of the guards.

Without missing a beat, he stepped forward and clamped a hand tightly over Hailey's mouth.

Hailey's eyes were filled with desperation as she turned to Justin, her muffled cries the only sound escaping her lips.

"Hailey, what are you trying to say?" Justin asked.

Before Hailey could respond, Joanne cut in sharply. "Justin, don't listen to her—she's a manipulator. No one twists the truth like she does! Just think about how easily she had Jonah under her spell."

Justin nodded, deciding not to push the matter.

"Take her away!" Joanne instructed.

The bodyguards moved without hesitation, seizing Hailey as she kicked and struggled. Despite her frantic resistance, they easily overpowered her and forced her into the waiting car.

Moments later, they arrived at the hospital.

"Joanne, let me go! What are you planning to do to me?" Hailey shouted.

Joanne smirked. "You'll find out soon enough."

Before long, Hailey was brought to the door of an operating room. As she raised her gaze, her eyes immediately met a familiar figure standing nearby.

It was Ewan. He was already there, waiting for her.

Hailey was stunned. "Ewan? What are you doing here?"

Joanne moved to stand beside Ewan.

A smirk curled on Ewan's lips. "What do you think, Hailey?"

"Yes, Ms. Lilton."

Without hesitation, the bodyguards moved in, overpowering Hailey as they dragged her into the operating room. She fought desperately, but their strength overwhelmed her.

In an instant, she was forced onto the operating table, her body pinned down.

"Let me go! My baby! Please, don't hurt my baby!" she screamed.

Joanne and Ewan stood off to the side. Ewan turned to the doctor and instructed, "Administer the anesthetic now."

Joanne's lips curled into a mischievous grin. "Remove the child. Make sure it's completely gone."

Hailey's arms and legs were forcibly strapped down, the cold, unforgiving operating table pressing against her. The harsh white lights overhead felt blinding, and a wave of terror washed over her heart.

The thought of them hurting her baby was unbearable.

"Jonah, help me! Jonah, you have to save our baby! Jonah!"

Her voice shook as she repeated his name, and she clung to the hope that Jonah would somehow appear and save them both.

But Jonah had no idea their baby even existed. Was this how they were going to lose their child forever?
