30 minutes later, they returned to the villa. One of the maids hurried to greet them at the door. "Ms. Hailey, Mr. Pilsner, welcome home."
Hailey nodded. "I'm going upstairs to take a bath."
Without waiting for Jonah, she headed up the stairs.
She stepped into the room and took a relaxing bath. Then, she took out the stretch mark cream the doctor had prescribed and began applying it to her skin.
Kaia was younger than her, so although Hailey had always been confident in her looks, she wasn't about to let pregnancy ruin her figure.
Stretch marks were not an option. No matter what, she wanted to look beautiful, even while being pregnant.
She applied the cream to every spot she could reach. When she was done, only her back was left.
After stretching her arm behind her, she tried to rub the cream on it, but she couldn't reach properly.
Just then, there was a soft click. The door suddenly opened, and someone walked in.
Hailey immediately lay down, careful not to put pressure on her stomach. She grabbed a pillow and tucked it beneath her abdomen for support.
"Ms. Gomez, come help me with the cream," she said.
Jonah froze at the doorway. It wasn't the maid, Felicia Gomez, standing there. It was him.
He hadn't left, and the moment he stepped into the room, he saw her lying on the wicker chair.
He had meant to leave, but then she called him.
He glanced behind him and realized Felicia hadn't arrived.
Hailey, still unaware, called out again. "Ms. Gomez, I need help with my back. I can't reach it."
Then, Jonah stepped inside.
Hailey had just stepped out of the bath. She was wearing a nightdress with the ribbon at the back left untied.
A stretch of her fair, delicate back was completely exposed. At that moment, Jonah's throat tightened involuntarily.

If the focus has to go on other characters in the book, at least make it more interesting! They were separated for three years, and still having love rivals! Especially one from the past!!! Why can’t Ewan and Joanne move in together and move on!!...
Imagine the long read if they decide to switch back to Adam and Celine. Not reading this with the same enthusiasm from the beginning....
How does anyone in their senses meet up with someone who almost hurt them and their unborn child. This author is dumb and needs to wrap this crap up. All of a sudden Hailey and kala are playing Celine and Carly's role as another character. Nonsense....
