The Ex-Wife's Triumph novel Chapter 205

Karl sensed the gaze and looked up. Seeing Kingsley, he paused for a moment, then let out a cold sneer. He took a deep drag of his cigar and blew smoke rings as he spoke in German: "You've got nerve coming here to die—apparently, the last warning was too mild."

Kingsley leaned back in his chair, his posture lazy yet oppressive. He replied in fluent German, "I'm here to collect you."

"This is Switzerland, not your turf!" Karl laughed, his eyes full of disdain.

Kingsley smirked slightly, wasting no more words. Xavier immediately slammed a briefcase full of chips onto the table.

Karl glanced at the chips, his tone contemptuous. "At the gambling table, you're no match for me."

"We'll see," Kingsley said flatly, his voice hiding an undeniable dominance.

The surrounding gamblers, sensing the tension thick enough to cut with a knife, wisely backed away to avoid collateral damage.

Suddenly, Xavier stepped forward and swept the chips back off the table. In the next second, Kingsley raised his hand, a black pistol already gripped in his palm. The muzzle slowly aimed at Karl's head, his voice as cold as ice. "You damaged my arm. Tell me, should I blow your head off to call it even?"

Karl's two bodyguards behind him reached for the weapons at their waists, but Kingsley's men subdued them instantly—pinning their arms behind their backs and forcing them to the ground before they could react.

"You dare touch me?!" Karl was both shocked and furious. He struggled to stand, but a tremor in his voice betrayed him. "Touch me and you won't leave Switzerland alive!"

"Is that so?" Kingsley chuckled low, his eyes devoid of warmth, radiating a menacing aura. "Unfortunately, I never planned on leaving."
