out.

But she stood her ground, defiant, refusing to move.

Seeing her resist, the guards didn’t bother with politeness. They shoved her hard, their hands rough and unrelenting.

Estella struggled with all her strength, but she was outnumbered. Before long, she was thrown out of the hotel.

She lost her balance and hit the ground hard.

Her knees and palms scraped against the pavement, blood slowly welling up from the fresh wounds. She looked completely disheveled.

Clenching her teeth, Estella refused to give up.

Just then, a hand with sharp knuckles and long fingers appeared in front of her.

Estella instinctively looked up.

It was Jonathan.

“You… What are you doing here?” she asked, her voice shaky with pain and surprise.

He was so busy with work–how could he have come to help her?

Jonathan gently helped her up from the ground.

Looking at her pale, exhausted face, his eyes filled with concern and sorrow.

“I worked late last night, so I didn’t see the news right away,” he said softly. “I only found out about it this morning. Estella, if something like this happens, you should tell me. I want to help you.”

Estella lowered her head slightly, touched and a little embarrassed.

She bit her lip and murmured, “I didn’t want to bother you with everything. I wanted to handle my problems myself… not rely on you every time.”

Jonathan frowned at that.

Estella was stunned. For a moment, she didn’t know what to say.

Jonathan gave her shoulder a gentle pat. “Come on. Let’s go.”

He took her delicate hand and led her back toward the hotel lobby.

The lobby manager was gone.

Jonathan walked up to the front desk and signed up for a VIP card.

Now that he was a VIP client, the hotel staff couldn’t throw them out so easily.

He leaned toward Estella and said quietly, “Let’s go.”

Estella followed, still a bit dazed.

Once they got to a guest room, Estella was about to ask what he was planning.

Jonathan suddenly called the hotel’s customer service.

As a VIP, his complaints were taken seriously. A staff member was immediately dispatched to handle it.

Soon, a nervous attendant entered the room. “Sir, is there something wrong with the room?”

Jonathan gave the attendant a cold, superior stare. “Everything is wrong.”

The attendant froze.

Jonathan’s voice turned sharper. “I want to speak to your boss. Directly. I want to file a personal complaint.”

The attendant looked troubled and hesitated before stammering, “Sir, I’m terribly sorry, but our boss is very busy. He doesn’t usually take unscheduled meetings. Perhaps I could have our manager assist you?”

Jonathan’s face darkened even more. He scoffed, “I’m not interested in speaking with some manager, I want to talk to the boss himself. What, are you saying that even as a VIP client, I don’t have the right to meet him?”

As he spoke, a quiet but intense pressure filled the room. The sheer force of it made the attendant shiver involuntarily.
